Miss Earth Thailand 2021 held an audition round last July 8 in Bangkok where over 40 aspirants went through a nerve-wracking question and answer in front of a distinguished panel of judges. Only the lucky 20 beauties made it as official Top 20 contestants. Voting is open and the contestant who receives the highest number of votes will automatically advance to the final Top 15. To vote, type MET followed by the number of your favorite contestant and send to 4141555 for 1 point (standard vote), or send to 4141111 for 3 points (big vote). Andrea Meza has finally returned to Mexico for the first time after being crowned the 69th Miss Universe in Florida last May. Wearing a black ensemble, the beauty queen arrived in her home country after over four hours flight from JFK in New York to Mexico City on Monday, July 5. Former Miss Universe Lupita Jones graciously welcomed her at the airport along with a large group of journalists and eager fans. "I come with a pretty busy tour. I am happy to return to Mexico, I come with all the interest to generate conversation, to speak with various organizations about gender violence, violence against women. Janice Sampere was officially crowned as Miss Gibraltar 2021 in a special ceremony held at the Mayor's Parlour at City Hall on Tuesday, July 6. The 23-year-old tax associate was first runner-up during the Miss Gibraltar 2019 pageant. She was appointed to succeed Celine Bolaños as a national competition will not be held this year due to the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Natalia Balicka was officially announced as the newly appointed Miss Supranational Poland 2021 on Wednesday, July 7. The 21-year-old medical student from Poznan was first runner-up at Miss Polski 2020 won by Anny-Marii Jaromin. She will represent Poland at the Miss Supranational 2021 pageant to be held this August in Nowy Sącz. "I don’t have much time to prepare but thanks to the people who are surrounding me and helping me with preparing for the competition I know that I will show my best side," she said. Maja Čolić was crowned Miss Slovenije 2020/21 in a national competition that took place last June 27 in Hrastnik. The 21-year-old beauty from Ribnica is a student of economics and international business. She bested 14 other contestants to win the national title. Lina Jenšac and Neža Simčič were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Maja succeded Miss Slovenije 2019 Špela Alič and will now prepare to represent Slovenia at the Miss World 2021 pageant later this year in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Michoacán representative Karolina Vidales was crowned Miss Mexico 2021 at Lago Di Como in Chihuahua on Saturday, July 3. The 24-year-old beauty holds a bachelor's degree in business administration. She bested 31 other contestants from across Mexico to win the national competition.  Karolina will represent her country at Miss World 2021 to be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico this December. Jalisco's Mariana Macías was named Miss Mexico Grand 2021 and will be sent to the Miss Grand International 2021 later this year. Previous winners, Ashley Alvídrez Estrada and Angela Yuriar crowned their respective successors at the end of the event. Normandy's Candice Guivarch was crowned Miss Elegance France 2021 in a competition held last June 26 at Splendid Hotel in Dax, Landes. The 21-year-old model and business school student from Etalondes, Seine-Maritime, bested 19 other contestants to win the national title. Amélie Gigan was named first runner-up while Eléa-Loup Gautier, Marie Victoire Schwerdel and Solène Girard were the second, third and fourth runners-up, respectively. Miranda representative and Miss Venezuela 2020 Top 5 finalist, Luiseth Materán, has been officially announced as Miss Universo Venezuela 2021 on Friday, July 2 in Caracas. The 24-year-old social communication graduate is a model and actress. She is currently filming "Intriga tras cámara" television series that will premiere on Televen, in which she will play the leading character. Luiseth will represent Venezuela at the 70th Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2021) pageant, whose date and venue are yet to be announced. A commercial pilot from Punta Fogón, Massiell Llamas, has been officially appointed as Señorita Panamá Grand 2021 (Miss Grand Panama) over the weekend. The 23-year-old beauty succeeds last year's titleholder Angie Keith and will now prepare to represent Panama at the Miss Grand International 2021 competition later this year. Massiell holds a bachelor's degree in aviation administration and presently a master's degree student in business administration with emphasis on human resources. The new Miss Grand Panama is no stranger to pageantry as she has previously held the title of Reina de Calle de Las Tablas and won the international Miss Teenager pageant in 2016. An actress, model, pianist, and a trained dancer, Cynthia Linnet Lau, has been officially announced as Miss Earth Cuba 2021 in a special ceremony held on Sunday, June 27 in Miami, Florida. The 25-year-old beauty with Chinese, Spanish, and Cuban roots was born in Holguin, Cuba, but grew up in the United States. She has a double degree in health sciences and psychology. Cynthia was crowned by former titleholder Ariana Barouk and will now prepare to represent Cuba at the Miss Earth 2021 pageant, whose date and venue are yet to be announced. The new Miss Earth Cuba is no stranger to pageantry as she has previously held the title of Miss Intercontinental Cuba and joined the Miss Intercontinental 2018 pageant held in the Philippines.
