After weeks of activities, 29 eco beauties from across the Philippines will compete tonight for the coveted title of Miss Philippines Earth 2024. Hosted by James Deakin and former Miss Earth Karla Henry, the much-awaited grand coronation night will be held in Talakag, Bukidnon. This year's event which is themed "Heritage" will be the 24th edition of the annual Miss Philippines Earth pageant. Live streaming of the final show will be available on its official YouTube and Facebook page from 8 p.m. local time. The winner of tonight's competition will be crowned by last year's winner Yllana Marie Aduana of Siniloan, Laguna, and will represent the Philippines at Miss Earth 2024. Global celebrity and Thai superstar Win Metawin Opas-iamkajorn will be performing at the grand coronation night of the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 pageant. Win came to prominence in 2020 for his acting debut in a leading role in a Thai romantic comedy series "2gether: The Series" with Bright Vachirawit. He recently became the first Thai and Southeast Asian to be appointed House Ambassador for the American luxury jewelry brand Tiffany & Co. In March, he bagged the AFA Rising Star Award at the 17th Asian Film Awards in Hong Kong where he also premiered his first international movie "Under Parallel Skies" directed by Filipino director Sigrid Andrea Bernardo. The Miss USA organization has just announced Savannah Gankiewicz of Hawaii as the new Miss USA following the resignation of Noelia Voigt. According to the official announcement, Savannah will be crowned in her home state of Hawaii in a special coronation ceremony next Wednesday, May 15. The new Miss USA was crowned  Miss Hawaii USA in January last year and went on to participate in Miss USA 2023 in Reno, Nevada last September. She finished as first runner-up. Savannah is of Filipino, Vietnamese, and Polish descent born and raised in Kihei on the island of Maui. She is a model, entrepreneur, and self-love advocate. "My decision to accept the Miss USA crown was not one that was made lightly. I stand with Noelia and admire her strength to step down and prioritize her mental health," she wrote in an official statement. "To the state of Hawaii and my family and friends who have always uplifted me during this journey. it is a privilege to accept this title on behalf of you.

The Miss Czech Republic 2024 grand final will be held this Saturday, May 11 at Forum Karlín in Prague. A total of 10 finalists will be competing for the national title. The winner is expected to represent the Czech Republic at the 72nd Miss World. This year's event to be hosted by Ondrej Novotny will be the 15th anniversary edition of the annual Miss Czech Republic pageant. Fresh from her trip to the Philippines, Miss Universe 2023 Sheynnis Palacios arrived in India on Wednesday, April 8 to continue her Asia Tour. The Nicaraguan beauty queen was warmly welcomed early in the morning at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi by the new Miss Universe India team. The national license for the Miss Universe pageant in India was previously held by Miss Diva under its parent organization, Femina Miss India. Since February this year, it was taken over by the Glamanand Group with owner Nikhil Anand as the new national director. An independent Miss Universe India organization was established. The Miss Namibia Organization (MNO) has officially announced Albertina Haimbala as Namibia's representative for Miss Earth 2024 later this year. Albertina, a 24-year-old marketing management graduate, was the first runner-up at Miss Namibia 2023. She was previously designated to participate in the 72nd Miss World. According to the MNO, the Miss World organization now strictly enforces its standing rule that only the national winner can participate in the Miss World competition. The rule also stipulates that the first runner-up can only participate when the national winner is unable to and/or incapacitated. CEO Umbi Karuaihe-Upi said: "There are rules and requirements that we have no control over, including the postponement of international beauty pageants.
