69th Miss Universe pageant final date revealed


The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) has finally confirmed in an email to its franchise directors that the 69th Miss Universe pageant will be held in the USA on May 16.

Further details of the upcoming competition including the exact host city and final venue are yet to be announced.

MUO anticipates observing the same strict procedures that were established and followed at the Miss USA pageant last November in Memphis.

They also revealed the plan to host the 70th edition (Miss Universe 2021) later this year “most likely in a non-USA destination” once negotiations are finalized.

The usual deadline requirement for the licensed holders to hold a national competition by August 30 will be waived. They will have until October 31 to produce their shows.

“We hope this decision will bring some relief to you and encourage more participation,” says the organization.

Athenna Crosby of California bested over 40 other contestants to win the Miss World America 2024 pageant on Sunday, November 17 in Seattle, Washington. The 26-year-old American-Venezuelan model and actress succeeds last year's winner Victoria DiSorbo and will now prepare to represent the United States of America at the 72nd Miss World. The three winners of Miss Ukraine 2023 who will represent Ukraine in international pageants were officially announced on Monday, September 25 through social media. Sofia Shamia, an 18-year-old student from the Kyiv region was named Miss Ukraine 2023 (Miss World Ukraine 2023) and will compete in Miss World 2023 in India on December 16.
