Priyanka Chopra announces Oscars 2021 nominations with husband Nick Jonas


Former Miss World Priyanka Chopra and husband Nick Jonas have announced the nominations for the Oscars 2021 in a two-part live stream on digital platforms from London on Monday, March 15.

The Indian beauty could not contain her excitement for the film she produced and starred "The White Tiger" which was nominated in the best adapted screenplay category.

"This is by far the coolest [work from home] day ever," Priyanka wrote on social media. She also shared some photos taken by English photographer and film director Greg Williams while congratulating all the nominees and thanking the academy for the opportunity to host the announcement.

The 93rd Academy Awards will take place on Sunday, April 25 at the Dolby Theatre and Union Station in Los Angeles, two months later than originally planned due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. It will be televised live on ABC at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT and in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide.

Clara Vegas triumphed over 21 other contestants to win the title of Miss Universe Venezuela 2025 on Thursday, December 4 in Caracas. The 23-year-old model and actress from Miranda will represent Venezuela at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant to be held in Puerto Rico. Maria Evangelista Alayon of Amazonas was named first runner-up while Milena Paola Soto of Mérida, Gabriela de la Cruz of Yaracuy, and Gabriela Villegas of Monagas were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Miss Earth 2022 is Mina Sue Choi, first winner from Korea

Mina Sue Choi of Korea bested over 80 other competitors to win Miss Earth 2022 in a glittering competition held on Tuesday, November 29 at Cove Manila, Okada Manila in the Philippines. The 24-year-old communication student succeeded Destiny Wagner of Belize and became her country's first-ever Miss Earth winner. She also bagged three gold medals for the swimsuit, beach wear, and long gown competition, and one bronze for resort wear. Kaori Hashimoto was crowned Miss Universe Japan 2025 in a national competition held on Wednesday, July 16 in Shibuya. The 21-year-old business administration student from Tochigi Prefecture beat over 40 other contestants to win the national title. Mística Nuñez, representing Falcón, was crowned Miss Venezuela World 2025 in a national competition held at the Studio 1 of Venevisión on Wednesday, November 12 in Caracas.
