69th Miss Universe competition kicks off with registration and fittings

It's officially Miss Universe season as over 70 women from around the world have arrived at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, USA, to compete in the 69th edition of the prestigious pageant.

The contestants kicked off the competition with registration and fittings for their official shoes, dress, and swimsuit from sponsors. Their schedules also include photo shooting, touring, filming, rehearsing, and preparing for the preliminary and final show.

Standouts during their arrivals and initial activities were the Philippines, Thailand, Colombia, Nepal, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, Canada, Romania, Denmark, South Africa, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Venezuela.

The 69th Miss Universe pageant will air live on FYI and local channels across the world on Sunday, May 16 at 8 p.m. ET. Zozibini Tunzi of South Africa will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Spain wins second Mister Supranational title

Pedro Cordero, a 23-year-old model from Cártama (Málaga), was announced the winner of Mister Supranational 2026 during the pageant's 10th edition, which took place on Saturday, August 1, in Nowy Sącz, Poland. He became the second Spanish representative to claim the international male beauty title, following Iván Álvarez Guedes, who won in 2023. Marcél Roux from South Africa secured the first runner-up position, while Daniel Jiawei Li from China, Ramón Alcántara from the Dominican Republic, and Gabriel Castañeda from Mexico took the second, third, and fourth runner-up spots, respectively. Meet the newly crowned Reina Filipinas 2026 queens

The inaugural edition of the Reina Filipinas beauty pageant was held on Friday, August 7 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City. Palawan's Angelica Lopez, former Miss International Philippines, was crowned Reina Filipinas Grand International 2026 and will represent the Philippines at Miss Miss Grand International 2026 pageant this October. Jaime VandenBerg was announced the winner of Miss Universe Canada 2025 on Saturday, August 9 at the Chrysler Theatre in Windsor, Ontario. The 28-year-old international model and actress from Lethbridge, Alberta will represent Canada at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. Karmen Brar was named first runner-up while Jabili Kandula, Malayika Kwizera, and Kamuahao Hei weret the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Meet the winners of Miss Turkey 2025

The glittering Miss Turkey 2025 national competition was held last December 19 at the Lazzoni Hotel in Istanbul. A total of 20 stunning finalists were chosen to compete for the national titles that were at stake — Miss Turkey World and Miss Turkey Supranational. Sıla Saraydemir, a 22-year-old student, was crowned Miss Turkey World 2025. She is expected to represent Turkey at the 73rd Miss World competition whose date and venue have yet to be announced. Katrina Llegado, a 28-year-old financial management graduate from the Philippines, was crowned Miss Supranational 2026 by her predecessor Eduarda Braum of Brazil.
