Shivali Patel replaces Madeleine Overby as Miss Supranational USA 2020

A 24-year-old beauty of Indian descent from North Carolina, Shivali Patel, was officially announced as the new Miss Supranational USA 2020 on Tuesday, June 15.

The e-commerce executive and author assumed the national title after Madeleine Overby made the difficult decision to step down and relinquish her duties.

Shivali is no stranger to pageantry as she has previously joined the Miss World America pageant twice and placed as runner-up. She will now prepare to compete for the coveted title of Miss Supranational 2021 this August in Nowy Sacz, Malopolska, Poland.

"When I was five years old, my mum and dad thought it would be a wonderful bonding experience to compete in a pageant. Little did I know that nearly twenty years later, I would go on to owe a great deal of the woman I would become today to that same incredible world," she posted on social media.

María Fernanda Beltrán Figueroa of Sinaloa was crowned Miss Universe Mexico 2024 in a national competition held on Saturday, September 7 at the Cancun Convention Center. The 24-year-old model and entrepreneur from Culiacán bested over 30 other contestants to win the national title. She will represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico City this November. Aranza Molina of Tabasco and Karen Bustos of San Luis Potosí were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Mariana Macías of Michoacán and Lorena Sevilla of Colima rounded out the Top 5 finalists. Miss Turkey 2024: Meet the Top 20 finalists

A total of 20 finalists have been selected to compete for Miss Turkey 2024 following an elimination round held on Wednesday, September 4 in Istanbul. The grand final will take place on September 11 at the Lazzoni Hotel and the winners are expected to represent Turkey at the next Miss World and Miss Supranational pageants. No competition was held last year and this year's upcoming final will be the 42nd edition of the annual national pageant. In May, the Miss Turkey Organization headed by Can Sandıkcıoğlu officially announced that it parted ways with the Miss Universe Organization after more than 40 years. Its last representative was Aleyna Şirin who competed in Miss Universe 2022 which was held in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA in January 2023. The national organization that achieved Turkey's first Miss World winner courtesy of Azra Akın (Miss Turkey and Miss World 2002) will continue to send contestants to Miss World and Miss Supranational. Creed was crowned Miss Universe Australia 2024 in a national competition held on Thursday, September 5 at the grand ballroom of the Crown Perth in Burswood. The 23-year-old model from Brisbane edged out 27 other competitors to win the title. She is the first national winner from Queensland since Jesinta Campbell in 2010. Laetitia Greco and Renèe Mourad were named the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Bronte Rose Dagg and Jennifer Crown were the rest of the Top 5 finalists.
