Miss Brasil Mundo 2021 is Caroline Teixeira of Distrito Federal

Miss Distrito Federal, Caroline Teixeira, was crowned Miss Brasil Mundo 2021 (Miss World Brazil) in a national competition held in Brasilia on Thursday, August 19.

The 23-year-old beauty, who holds a degree in law, succeeds Miss Mundo Brasil 2019 Elís Miele. She will represent her country at the 70th Miss World (Miss World 2021) pageant to be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico this December.

Miss Rio Grande do Sul, Alina Furtado, and Miss Espirito Santo, Gabriela Botelho, were in second and third places, respectively.

The representatives of Piauí, Larissa Barros, Mato Grosso do Sul, Dandara Queiroz, and Pernambuco, Guilhermina Montarroyos, completed the Top 6 finalits.

Caroline is the 61st Miss Brasil Mundo and the fourth representative of Distrito Federal to hold the national title.

"I know there will be many challenges but, with effort and dedication, I am convinced that I will achieve my best performance," she shared on social media.

"Thanks to all partners who were with me on this journey! I promise that I will dedicate myself to the fullest and represent our country in the best possible way," she added.
