Andrea Meza stuns in Michael Cinco ballgown during Miss Universe farewall walk


Miss Universe 2020 Andrea Meza gave an emotional farewell walk before crowning India's Harnaaz Sandhu during the 70th Miss Universe final held in Eilat, Israel on Sunday, December 12.

The Mexican beauty looked like a real-life princess in a couture plum ballgown by Michael Cinco, a Filipino fashion designer based in Dubai, during her final walk as Miss Universe.

"What a journey this has been. I’m so glad and proud to be part of Miss Universe history," Andrea shared.

"I am Andrea Meza, the third Mexican Miss Universe. Forever Miss Universe 2020," she added.

Following her reign, Andrea will be working for Telemundo, an American Spanish-language television network that broadcasts programs and original content aimed at Latin American audiences in the United States and worldwide.

The 27-year-old former Miss Universe also has a congratulatory message for the newly crowned queen.

"You are part of this history, this family, and this legacy. Enjoy this journey and make your country proud," she said.

Belarus is set to debut at the Miss Universe pageant this year with newly crowned Miss Universe Belarus 2024 Karyna Kisialiova. Laura Bircher was crowned Miss Universe Switzerland 2024 in a glittering national competition held on Saturday, September 28 at the Kursaal Arena in Bern. The 23-year-old mental health advocate from Stans succeeds last year's winner Lorena Santen and will now prepare to represent Switzerland at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico this November. 81-year-old model Choi Soon-hwa joins Miss Universe Korea 2024

Choi Soon-hwa recently created a buzz in the pageant community when she appeared as the oldest contestant vying for Miss Universe Korea 2024. The 81-year-old senior model who walked her first runway in her 70s made history as she competes alongside more than 30 others in the upcoming national competition. If she wins this year's Miss Universe Korea, she will be the oldest Korean representative and contestant in the 73-year history of the Miss Universe pageant. Ofir Natalie Korsia was crowned Miss Universe Israel 2024 in a national competition held on Sunday, September 29 at the Hilton Aventura Miami in Florida. The 23-year-old actress, dancer, and model from Rishon LeZion will now prepare to represent Israel at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico this November. This year's event marked the return of Israel to the Miss Universe pageant after a 2-year hiatus. A total of eight contestants competed for the crown. It was organized under the new national director Edgar Saakyan of Edgar Entertainment (USA), in partnership with Blue Ocean Venture Funds. Miss Orb International 2024 is Fernanda Fernández from Costa Rica

Costa Rica's very own Fernanda Fernández was crowned Miss Orb International 2024 on Monday, September 30 in San José, Costa Rica. The 23-year-old fashion model bested 14 other contestants to win the international title. She succeeds Camila Canto from Mexico. Andreina Quintero from Venezuela and Rebecca Drouin from Canada were first and second runners-up, respectively. Xiadani Saucedo from Mexico and Allison Ojeda from Puerto Rico rounded out the Top 5 finalists. The rest of the Top 10 were from Bolivia, Anabel Guzman, Colombia, Maria Camila Medrano, El Salvador, Eva Barrera, Guatemala, Verónica Mejía and USA, Azalia Arredondo.
