Miss Universe Curacao 2022 is Gabriela Dos Santos


Gabriela Dos Santos was crowned Miss Universe Curacao 2022 in a glittering event held at Renaissance Wind Creek Curacao Resort in Willemstad on Saturday, May 28.

The 20-year-old beauty from Willemstad edged out two other finalists to win her national title. She succeeds last year's titleholder, Shariengela Cijntje.

Mariana Pietersz and Andreina Pereira were named the first and second runners-up, respectively.

Former Miss Universe Colombia and Miss Universe Top 5 finalist Valeria Ayos, and Miss Universe Colombia national director Natalie Ackerman were special guests at the recently held competition.

The new Miss Universe Curacao will now prepare to represent Curacao at the 71st Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2022) pageant, whose date and venue have yet to be announced.

Gabriela founded the Light4change foundation, a non-profit organization that aims to raise awareness against cyberbullying.

Curacao, a Dutch Caribbean island known for its beaches, has yet to win the Miss Universe pageant. Its highest placement was first runner-up in 1968 with Annemarie Braafheid.

Singer-songwriter Sigga Ózk crowned Miss Iceland 2026

Sigríður Ósk Hrafnkelsdóttir, also known as Sigga Ózk, was crowned Ungfrú Ísland 2026 (Miss Iceland 2026) on Wednesday, April 22 at at Gamla Bíó in Reykjavík. The singer-songwriter from Garðabær will now prepare to represent Iceland at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant to be held in Puerto Rico this November. Aníta Mist Davíðsdóttir was named first runner-up while Elínborg Hrannarsdóttir, Nadía Líf Pálsdóttir, Soffía Ellín Stella Gísladóttir were the second, third and fourth runners-up, respectively. Former Miss Earth USA Bea Millan-Windorski joins Miss Universe Philippines 2026

Filipino-American Bea Millan-Windorski has recently been appointed as the official representative for the province of La Union at Miss Universe Philippines 2026. At just 24 years old, she is well-acquainted with the world of pageantry, having participated in Miss Earth USA 2024 in Orlando, Florida, where she clinched the title while representing Wisconsin. This achievement made her the first Filipino-American to secure a national title. As Miss Earth USA, she went on to compete in Miss Earth 2024 in the Philippines, where she impressively placed in the Top 4 out of 76 contestants, earning the title of Miss Earth Water. Patthama Jitsawat, representing the Thai province of Chonburi, was crowned Miss Grand Thailand 2026 on Saturday, March 28 at MGI Hall in Bangkok. The 32-year-old beauty edged out 76 other contestants to win the national competition. She succeeds last year's winner Sarunrat Puagpipat of Phuket. Victoria DiSorbo was crowned Miss World America 2023 in a national competition held on Thursday, October 5 at the Meydenbauer Center Theatre in Bellevue, Washington. The 25-year-old representing the state of Tennessee will now prepare to compete on behalf of the United States of America at Miss World 2023 in India this December. Luren Márquez was crowned Miss Peru 2026 (Miss Universe Peru) in a special ceremony held on Wednesday, April 15 at the Teatro Municipal del Callao. The 27-year-old television presenter and model received the crown from her predecessor Karla Bacigalupo with the presence of the reigning Miss Universe Fátima Bosch from Mexico. The spectacular Miss Universe Philippines 2026 national costume competition took place on Thursday, April 16 at the Urdaneta City Cultural and Sports Center in Pangasinan. This year's show, themed Water, was hosted by the reigning Miss Eco Philippines, Gabbi Carballo. The contestants took to the stage, displaying Filipino artistry through their colorful costumes.
