Miss World's Julia Morley receives CBE in Her Majesty, The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Birthday Honours List


Miss World Organization was delighted to share that Julia Morley has been awarded the CBE in Her Majesty, The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Birthday Honours List.

The CBE (Commander British Empire) has been awarded in recognition of Julia’s charitable and voluntary services to disadvantaged people in the UK and across the world.

“I am absolutely thrilled. It is so special to be recognized in this way," said the Chairman and CEO of Miss World.

Julia Morley coined the phrase "Beauty With A Purpose" as her vision for young women to use their talents to help those less fortunate than themselves. Officially launched in 1972, Beauty With A Purpose has had a significant impact on improving the lives of the sick and disadvantaged.

50 years later, the program is now operating in 142 countries with funds raised for humanitarian projects exceeding 1 billion US dollars.

Julia added: “I am humbled and so grateful to receive this Honour, particularly during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of Her Majesty, The Queen."

“We are so proud of the many thousands of young women, who have used their Beauty With A Purpose projects to really make a difference in the lives of the sick, vulnerable and disadvantaged."

Czech Republic's Isabella Rossini wins Miss Aura International 2026

Isabella Rossini, 20, from Czech Republic, was crowned Miss Aura International 2026 at the conclusion of the pageant on Friday, May 22 at FashionTV Luxe Resort in Antalya, Turkey. The professional model, singer and theater actress bested over 40 other contestants to win the international title. She succeeds Krishan Pauline Alerre of the Philippines. Barbara Wolfenson of Chile was named first runner-up while Azaliya Timergalieva of Bashkortostan, Aleksandra Kochergina of Tatarstan, Melanie Portocarrero Cury of Colombia were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Miss Tunisia 2023 is Amira Afli from Kairouan

Miss Centre, Amira Afli, was crowned Miss Tunisia 2023 in a glittering competition held on Saturday, February 11 at Le Pavillon Gammarth in La Marsa. The 22-year-old beauty from Kairouan is a medical student at Monastir's Faculty of Medicine and an advocate of first-aid training for the youth. She is now expected to represent Tunisia at the Miss World 2024 pageant. The 71st Miss Universe contestants have been very busy with their pre-pageant events and activities ahead of the preliminary, national costume, and final competitions. Hawaii's Savannah Gankiewicz has officially received her sash and crown as the new Miss USA 2023. Her coronation ceremony was held on Wednesday, May 15 at 'Alohilani Resort Waikīkī Beach in Honolulu with the presence of Governor Josh Green. A total of 85 beauties from around the world will compete in the highly anticipated 72nd Miss Universe pageant in El Salvador this November. This year's competition will mark the debut of Pakistan and the returns of 10 countries consisting of Denmark, Egypt, Guyana, Hungary, Ireland, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Mongolia, Norway, and Zimbabwe.
