Miss World's Julia Morley receives CBE in Her Majesty, The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Birthday Honours List


Miss World Organization was delighted to share that Julia Morley has been awarded the CBE in Her Majesty, The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Birthday Honours List.

The CBE (Commander British Empire) has been awarded in recognition of Julia’s charitable and voluntary services to disadvantaged people in the UK and across the world.

“I am absolutely thrilled. It is so special to be recognized in this way," said the Chairman and CEO of Miss World.

Julia Morley coined the phrase "Beauty With A Purpose" as her vision for young women to use their talents to help those less fortunate than themselves. Officially launched in 1972, Beauty With A Purpose has had a significant impact on improving the lives of the sick and disadvantaged.

50 years later, the program is now operating in 142 countries with funds raised for humanitarian projects exceeding 1 billion US dollars.

Julia added: “I am humbled and so grateful to receive this Honour, particularly during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of Her Majesty, The Queen."

“We are so proud of the many thousands of young women, who have used their Beauty With A Purpose projects to really make a difference in the lives of the sick, vulnerable and disadvantaged."

Miss World Italy 2026 is Mia Zottoli Montanaro from Puglia

Mia Zottoli Montanaro was proclaimed the winner of Miss Mondo Italia 2026 (Miss World Italy) last Sunday, June 14 at the Ecoresort Le Sirenè in Gallipoli. The 21-year-old model and former volleyball player of Argentine descent from Taranto, Puglia was crowned by her predecessor Sofia Viola. Basma Zaid of Basilicata and Azzura Sandrini of Lombardia were announced the first and second runners-up, respectively. Caterina Noghera of Veneto, Lara Boemio of Toscana, and Ginevra Pagano of Campania rounded out the Top 6 finalists. Miss Universe Norway 2024 is Lilly Sødal from Kristiansand

Lilly Sødal was crowned Miss Norway 2024 (Miss Universe Norway 2024) during the national competition held last Saturday, August 10 at Rebel in Oslo. The 21-year-old sustainability advocate from Kristiansand received her crown from her predecessor, last year's winner Julie Tollefsen. She will now prepare to represent Norway at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico this November. Athenna Crosby of California bested over 40 other contestants to win the Miss World America 2024 pageant on Sunday, November 17 in Seattle, Washington. The 26-year-old American-Venezuelan model and actress succeeds last year's winner Victoria DiSorbo and will now prepare to represent the United States of America at the 72nd Miss World.
