Miss Orb International 2022 is Camila Canto of Mexico

A 22-year-old model and aspiring actress from Mexico, Camila Canto, was crowned Miss Orb International 2022 during the inaugural edition of the international pageant held on Tuesday, August 30 in San José, Costa Rica.

Nicaragua's Mariela Cerros was named first runner-up while Venezuela's Grecia Bitchachi finished as second runner-up. The representatives from Peru, Flavia Montes, and Colombia, Luisa Gonzalez were the third and fourth runners-up, respectively.

Completing the Top 10 were Argentina, Bolivia, Canada, Denmark, and the USA.

"We made it Mexico," the newly crowned Miss Orb International wrote in a statement on social media after winning her title.

"Thank you for the support and for being my support in this adventure my beautiful people. There is no doubt that dreams come true when one works and fights for them. Proud to have raised my country and everything it represents. I love you. Never stop dreaming," she added.

Camila is no stranger to pageantry. She won the title Mexicana Universal Puebla 2019 and represented her state at the Mexicana Universal 2020 national competition where she placed third runner-up.

Earlier this year, she was appointed by the national director of Mexicana Universal and former Miss Universe Lupita Jones to represent her country at the first ever Miss Orb International pageant based in Costa Rica.
