Miss Universe New Zealand 2025 is Abbigail Sturgin


Lao-Kiwi Abbigail Sturgin was crowned Miss Universe New Zealand 2025 on Tuesday, June 24 at the SkyCity Theatre in Auckland.

The 28-year-old police officer succeeds last year's winner Victoria Velasquez Vincent and will represent New Zealand at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November.

Hannah Cross was named first runner-up while Noor Randhawa, Gazelle Garcia, and Deborah Lambie were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively.

No stranger to pageantry, the new Miss Universe Zealand is a former Miss Earth New Zealand winner. She participated in the Miss Earth 2017 pageant in the Philippines.

"I still cannot believe this is real. This journey did not come easy and if you've known me for a long time, you'll know how much I've wanted this," she wrote online.

"Thank you to my friends and family. Without you, there wouldn't be a me. There wouldn’t be an Abby who can confidently hold herself with grace and poise," she added.

She also shared, "I'm proud to have such a loving circle of people who continue to help me grow and be the woman that I am today."

Femina Miss India World 2026: Sadhvi Sail from Goa wins the crown

Sadhvi Sail bested 29 other contestants to win the Femina Miss India 2026 pageant last Saturday, April 18 at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology in Bhubaneswar. The 24-year-old beauty from Goa state was crowned by her predecesor Nikita Porwal and will represent India at the 74th Miss World competition next year. Rajnandini Pawar of Maharashtra and Sree Advaita of Union Territory were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Miss Grand Thailand 2026 is Patthama Jitsawat of Chonburi

Patthama Jitsawat, representing the Thai province of Chonburi, was crowned Miss Grand Thailand 2026 on Saturday, March 28 at MGI Hall in Bangkok. The 32-year-old beauty edged out 76 other contestants to win the national competition. She succeeds last year's winner Sarunrat Puagpipat of Phuket. Luren Márquez was crowned Miss Peru 2026 (Miss Universe Peru) in a special ceremony held on Wednesday, April 15 at the Teatro Municipal del Callao. The 27-year-old television presenter and model received the crown from her predecessor Karla Bacigalupo with the presence of the reigning Miss Universe Fátima Bosch from Mexico. Miss World America 2023 is Victoria DiSorbo of Tennessee

Victoria DiSorbo was crowned Miss World America 2023 in a national competition held on Thursday, October 5 at the Meydenbauer Center Theatre in Bellevue, Washington. The 25-year-old representing the state of Tennessee will now prepare to compete on behalf of the United States of America at Miss World 2023 in India this December. The 23-year-old teacher by profession from the state of Mérida will represent her country at Miss Grand International 2022 in Indonesia this October.
