Miss Universe Slovakia 2022 is Karolína Michalčíková


Karolína Michalčíková bested 11 other finalists to be crowned Miss Universe Slovakia 2022 on Sunday, September 11 at the Ministry of Fun in Banská Bystrica.

The 23-year-old beauty from Trenčín is a makeup artist and a student of human resources and personnel management. She will represent the Slovak Republic at the 71st Miss Universe pageant.

Klaudia Korlová, 20, from Košice, and Mária Glatzová, 25, from Prešov were named the first and second runners-up, respectively.

The new Miss Universe Slovakia succeeds last year's titleholder Veronika Ščepánková, who was appointed to represent her country at the 70th Miss Universe pageant in Israel.

Last April, Karolína was also awarded the title Miss Costa in a special event sponsored by the pageant's main partner Costa Cruises.

Slovakia has yet to win the Miss Universe pageant. The country's highest placement was in 1994 with its first-ever representative Silvia Lakatošová who finished in the Top 6.

72nd Miss World heats up with contestants' arrival in Telangana, India

Miss World 2025, the 72nd Miss World competition has officially begun in Telengana, India with the arrival of over 100 contestants vying for the highly coveted title. The beauties were checked into their official residence hotel, the Trident Hotel Hyderabad, and have been rehearsing for the opening ceremony this coming Saturday, May 10 at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium. According to the Miss World organization, the upcoming ceremony "promises to be a vibrant display of traditional Telangana folk and tribal dance performances, beautifully choreographed in a parade-style theme that will highlight the rich cultural heritage of the region." Miss Maine USA 2024 is Anne Baldridge

Anne Baldridge was crowned Miss Maine USA 2024 in a glittering state competition held on March 10 at Boston Marriott Burlington in Burlington, Maine. The 25-year-old TV news reporter representing Casco Bay bested 11 other contestants to win the state title. She succeeds last year's winner Juliana Morehouse Locklear. The Miss Czech Republic 2025 national final took place on Saturday, May 3 at the Forum Karlín in Prague. Ten finalists competed the crowns at stake. Linda Górecká clinched the title of Miss World Czech Republic 2025 and is expected to represent her country at the 73rd Miss World.
