Miss USA 2022 contestants depart for Reno, Nevada


After months of preparations, the Miss USA 2022 contestants are finally on their way to Reno, Nevada for the upcoming national competition.

This year's venue, the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino welcomes 51 of the country's most beautiful and talented young women representing the 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Apart from the opportunity to represent the USA at the 71st Miss Universe in New Orleans this January, fantastic prizes also await the winner including a six-figure salary, a fully furnished condo, a luxury car, and more.

Miss USA 2022 will air live on FYI and Hulu Live on October 3 at 5pm PDT / 8pm EDT. American entertainment reporter and TV personality Zuri Hall will host the final show with Julissa Bermudez and Micah Jesse.

Miss Southern Plains, Diane Westhoven was crowned Miss Alabama USA 2024 during the state final on Saturday, June 1 at Auburn University's Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center. The 21-year-old student from Birmingham will now prepare to represent Alabama at Miss USA 2024 this summer in Hollywood, California. She succeeds Sophie Burzynski, last year's winner and Miss USA 2023 Top 20 semifinalist. The Miss America 2025 final competition will be held this Sunday, January 5 at The Walt Disney Theater of the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts in Orlando, Florida. You can watch the Miss America as well as Miss America's Teen 2025 preliminary competition, talent competition, gala fashion show, and finals live streaming on PageantVision.com   site. Fifty-two (52) contestants from across the country are vying for the national title. One of them will be crowned by reigning Miss America Madison Marsh at the culmination of this year's pageant. Abbie Stockard from Vestavia Hills, Alabama was crowned Miss America 2025 on Sunday, January 5 at The Walt Disney Theater of the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts in Orlando, Florida. The 22-year-old nursing student and cheerleader at Auburn University beat 51 other contestants to win the national title. She succeeds last year's winner, active duty Air Force officer Madison Marsh of Colorado. Annette Addo-Yobo of Texas was named the first runner-up while Carley Jaymes Vogel of Tennessee, Casana Fink of Florida, and Stephanie Finoti of Ohio were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Amadea Zupan was crowned Miss Slovenia 2024 (Miss World Slovenia) in a national competition held on Friday, January 10 in Lendava. The 26-year-old medical student at the University of Ljubljana beat 12 other contestants to win the title. She received the crown from her predecessor Alida Tomanič. Katja Zver was named first runner-up while Neja Prosenjak finished as second runner-up and also bagged the Miss Personality award. Angélique Angarni-Filopon from Martinique beat 29 other contestants to win Miss France 2025 on Saturday, December 14 at the Futuroscope Arena in Vienne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The 34-year-old flight attendant became the oldest winner of the prestigious national pageant. She also made history as the first woman from Martinique to become Miss France. Sabah Aïb of Nord-Pas-de-Calais was named first runner-up while Stella Vangioni of Corsica, Moïra André of Guadeloupe, and Lilou Emeline-Artuso of Côte d'Azur were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Milla Magee was crowned Miss England 2024 (Miss World England) on Friday, May 17 at The Grand Station in Wolverhampton. The 23-year-old qualified beach lifeguard from Newquay, Cornwall bested 39 other contestants to win the national title. She received the crown from her predecessor, the 71st Miss World Top 8 finalist who was awarded the titles Miss World Europe and Miss United Kingdom  Jessica Ashley Gagen . Miss America 2024 will be the 96th edition of the Miss America pageant — the nation's leading provider of scholarships for young women. The 51 state representatives have already been crowned and they will compete for the national title on January 14 at the Walt Disney Theater (Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts) in Orlando, Florida. Apart from raising the age limits to between 18 and 28, the 2024 competition under the new CEO Robin Ross-Fleming will also see other changes. Xinying Zhu from Anhui crowned Miss Universe China

China officially crowned two national queens for Miss Universe in one year. Two separate national events were held this year. Xinying Zhu from Anhui province was recently crowned Miss Universe China following an intense one-week competition in Zhangjiajie. The 18-year-old vocational student majoring to become a flight attendant at Suzhou Aviation Vocational College is expected to represent China at Miss Universe 2026. She was crowned by her predecessor, Xue Hou, who won the national title in Sanya last July. Xue will head to the Miss Universe 2025 pageant.
