SPOTLIGHT: Meet Hanna Kim, Miss Universe Korea 2022


Korea will be represented at the 71st Miss Universe pageant by Hanna Kim.

The 27-year-old model currently based in New York City was appointed as Miss Universe Korea 2022 last April. She was the first runner-up during last year's national competition.

Apart from modeling, Hanna is a linguist and interpreter, who specialized in clinical trials. She is also a skilled classical ballet dancer.

"Words cannot describe how honored I am to be representing Korea at the 71st edition of Miss Universe," she shared on social media.

"As Miss Universe is the representation of empowerment and confidence, I wish I will also become a member of this community that empowers the women around the globe," she added.

The 71st Miss Universe pageant is expected to be held in the first quarter of 2023.

Miguel Alejandro Ortega Alaniz, representing Spain, was proclaimed the winner of Mister Global 2025 on Sunday, October 5 at MCC Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. The 26-year-old personal trainer and sports enthusiast from Valencia bested 35 other contestants to win the male beauty title. He succeeds Daumier Corilla from the Philippines. William Badell of Venezuela and Alejandro Silva of Mexico were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Viktoria Güllová was announced the winner of Miss Universe Slovakia 2025 during the reality show's final and coronation that aired on Tuesday, October 7. The 20-year-old student and model from Bratislava will represent Slovakia at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. Miss USA 2025, the much-awaited 74th Miss USA pageant will be held on Friday, October 24 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. This year's competition marks the fourth occasion it will take place in Reno after 2019, 2022, and 2023. Kylie Chang crowned Miss California USA 2025

Miss Golden State, Kylie Chang was crowned Miss California USA 2025 on Saturday, August 10 at Grand Hyatt Indian Wells. The 20-year-old UC Berkeley student and model succeeded last year's winner Samantha Ramos. She became the first-ever East Asian woman to win Miss California USA. Jenny Ting Crawford was named first runner-up while Kaylyn Slevin, Julia Price, Annie Lu, and Sophia Bruinsma were the second, third, fourth, and fifth runners-up, respectively. The 22-year-old model and medical student from Moscow edged out 49 other contestants to win the national competition.
