Miss Universe Latvia 2022 is Kate Alexeeva


Kate Alexeeva (Jekaterina Aleksejeva) has been officially announced as Miss Universe Latvia 2022 on Wednesday, October 12. She was crowned by Miss Universe Latvia national director Inga Raduga.

The 27-year-old international model and influencer from Riga bested four other finalists to win the national title. She will now prepare to represent Latvia at the 71st Miss Universe pageant in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA this January.

"I couldn’t be more grateful to the juries, to my family, friends and supporters, photographers, designers and literally every single person who put their trust in me, contributes, inspires me and makes this journey possible. It’s all just the beginning and I promise not to let you down," she wrote in a statement on social media.

Rounding out the Top 5 finalists were first runner-up Anastasija Aleksejevska, second runner-up Viktorija Samule, third runner-up Anastasija Reshetova, and fourth runner-up Liene Leitane.

Latvia debuted at Miss Universe in 2005 with Ieva Kokoreviča and managed to place in the Top 10. The European country last joined in 2006.

After 16 years, Inga Raduga Model Management received the license to send the next Latvian representative to the prestigious international pageant.

The new Miss Universe Latvia, who founded the beauty, cosmetics and personal care brand Glambox, has previously participated in the Top Model of the World, Miss Grand International, and Miss Multiverse pageants. She speaks Latvian, Russian, and English, and enjoys acting, traveling, reading books and dancing.

Karla Bacigalupo was crowned Miss Peru 2025 (Miss Universe Peru 2025) in a national competition held last Sunday, June 15 in the historic city of Cusco. The 33-year-old actress and producer will now prepare to represent Peru at Miss Universe 2025 to be held in Thailand this November. Former Reina Hispanoamerican Maricielo Gamarra was announced as first runner-up while former Top Model of the World Janet Leyva finished as the second runner-up. Binibining Pilipinas 2025, the 61st Binibining Pilipinas pageant, was held on Sunday, June 15 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. Opal Suchata Chuangsri from Thailand beat 107 other contestants to be crowned Miss World 2025 on Saturday, May 31 at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Adonis Renaud, representing France, was proclaimed Manhunt International 2025 on Tuesday, June 10 at the CDC Ballroom in Bangkok, Thailand. The 22-year-old model from Marseille beat over 30 other contestants to win the international title. He became the second French winner next to Fabrice Bertrand Wattez who won in 2002. Man of the World 2025, the 7th edition of the annual Man of the World competition was held on Saturday, May 31 at the SM North Edsa Skydome in Quezon City, Philippines. Juul Messiaen, a 23-year-old model, athlete and real estate agent from Málaga, Spain bested over 20 other contestants to win the international male pageant. Nguyen Dinh Nhu Van from Vietnam was crowned Miss Global 2025 on Sunday, March 9 at the MCC Hall, The Mall Lifestore Ngamwongwan in Nonthaburi, Thailand. The 33-year-old model hailing from Lam Dong province bested over 60 other contestants to become the first Vietnamese representative to win the international beauty title. With an impressive seven winners so far, Venezuela can be considered a powerhouse country when it comes to the Miss Universe pageant. There is no doubt that the annual Miss Venezuela is also regarded as one of the most prestigious and anticipated national pageants in the world. Xue Hou was crowned Miss Universe China 2024 during the national competition on Sunday, July 28 in Sanya Bay, Sanya City, Hainan Province. The 22-year-old model from Beijing will represent China at Miss Universe 2025 (74th Miss Universe) whose date and venue have yet to be announced.
