Mister Grand International 2022 is Michael Pelletier of Switzerland


Michael Pelletier, representing Switzerland, was proclaimed Mister Grand International 2022 on Friday, November 25 at the Southern Academy for the Performing Arts (SAPA) in San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago.

The 28-year-old fashion model from Perly, Geneva, succeeded last year's winner from Puerto Rico, Fernando Ezequiel Padin. He became the first representative from his country to win the international title.

Rounding out the Top 6 finalists were first runner-up from the Philippines, Kristzan Karlo Delos Santos; second runner-up from Singapore, Aaron Tan; third runner-up from Trinidad and Tobago, Aquil Ramsahai; fourth runner-up from Vietnam, Nguyen Vu Linh; and fifth runner-up from Tahiti, Teaniva Dinard. 

No stranger to pageantry, the new Mister Grand International was named Mister Suisse Francophone 2020 and went on to win the Mister Globe 2021 virtual edition.

"It is an immense honor for me to receive such a reward for a long-term work and the trust you have placed in me by supporting me throughout this adventure," he wrote in a statement on social media taking the opportunity to thank his supporters and share what the title means to him.

"This title is a great responsibility that I won’t take lightly. This designation encourages empowerment, respect, and sensibility. You can definitely count on me to carry this title with utmost dignity," he added.

Established in 2017, the Mister Grand International pageant celebrates the positive qualities of men. Its winners exemplify modern and empowered men who are grounded in integrity and strong in character.

María Vargas of Jalisco beat over 30 other contestants to win Miss Universe Mexico 2026 on Saturday, August 29 at Tierra Sagrada in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur. The 28-year-old model and businesswoman from Guadalajara will represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2026 in Puerto Rico this November. Australia's Maria Thattil to wear 'Black Swan' national costume at the 69th Miss Universe

Miss Universe Australia 2020 Maria Thattil will showcase a black swan-inspired national costume in the upcoming 69th Miss Universe pageant in Florida, USA. The costume weighs about 9 kilograms. It was constructed with a total of 105 feathers that were hand-cut from stiffened lightweight fabric and edge bound. Designer Nicola Yeung worked closely with engineer Stuart Bryce of Dugite Designs, who was the mechanical mastermind behind the kinetics. The upper feathers spin, run by a small motor attached to the back. The black swan is a native Australian bird, the emblem of West Australia, and a symbol of hope.
