Al Sivka wins Mister Slovenije 2022, goes to Mister Global


Al Sivka was proclaimed the winner of Mister Slovenije (Mister Slovenia) 2022 during the national final on Sunday, December 4 at the Šentjakob Theater in Ljubljana.

The 19-year-old model from Izola beat 11 other finalists to win the national title. He succeeds last year's winner Sebastian Čufer and will now prepare to represent Slovenia at the 8th Mister Global pageant in Thailand.

"I still cannot describe the feelings I had when receiving the title of Mister Slovenia 2022. I would like to thank everyone that motivated and supported me on the way to this achievement," he wrote on social media.

Rounded out the Top 5 finalists were Martin Peternelj, Leo Krajnc, Kristijan Plesec, and Sven Arnautovič Holobar.

Miss Universe 2025, the 74th edition of the Miss Universe pageant, is currently being held in Thailand. With just under a week to go, a new Miss Universe will soon be crowned in Bangkok. Miss Universe 2025, the 74th Miss Universe competition is set to take place on Friday, November 21 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. Reigning Miss Universe Victoria Kjær Theilvig from Denmark will hand over her crown to her successor at the conclusion of the event. Former Miss Queen of Portugal Camila Vitorino was crowned Miss Universe Portugal 2025 last Saturday, June 14 in the beautiful and historic city of Elvas. The 26-year-old from São Sebastião, Setúbal made history as the first married woman and mother to become Miss Universe Portugal. Laura Malaquias, Diliana Fernandes, and Ivone Carneiro were announced as the first, second, and third runners-up, respectively. Last year's winner Andreia Correia passed on her crown to her successor at the end of the event. Polish-American Emily Reng was officially announced by the Miss Polonia organization as Miss Universe Poland 2025 on Wednesday, October 22. Miss Universe 2026 host country and venue officially announced

The Miss Universe Organization has officially confirmed that Puerto Rico will be the host country for the Miss Universe 2026 pageant. Puerto Rican politician Jenniffer González Colón also made an announcement in a conference held on Tuesday, September 23 in San Juan. The 75th Miss Universe edition will be held in November 2026 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot, the largest indoor entertainment and sports arena in Puerto Rico. Reigning Miss Universe Victoria Kjær Theilvig from Denmark was present at the conference alongside former winners from Puerto Rico — Deborah Carthy-Deu (1985), Dayanara Torres (1993), Denise Quiñones (2001), and Zuleyka Rivera (2006).
