Luis Portelles to represent Canada at Mister Supranational 2023


Beauty pageant enthusiast and content creator Luis Portelles was officially announced on Saturday, April 16 as Mister Supranational Canada 2023.

The 28-year-old well-known YouTuber based in Montreal, Quebec hails from Holguin, Cuba, and is a graduate of the UniversitĆ© de MontrĆ©al with a degree in communication sciences.

"After years of being a devoted pageant fan and watching from the sidelines, I am grateful for the chance to finally take the stage and showcase my beautiful country," he wrote in a statement on social media.

"It is an incredible honor to wear the Canada sash and represent a country that has given me so much. I am excited to bring my best to the competition," he added.

Luis will now prepare to represent Canada at the Mister Supranational 2023 pageant in Małopolska, Poland this July.

Miss Greater Bridgeport, Shavana Clarke was crowned Miss Connecticut USA 2024 on Sunday, April 14 at Marriott Hartford Windsor Airport in Windsor, Connecticut. The 29-year-old model and mental health advocate will now prepare to represent the state of Connecticut at Miss USA 2024 in California this August. Danika Christopherson, representing The Village, was crowned Miss Oklahoma USA 2024 on Sunday, April 14 at OCCC Performing Arts Center Theater in Oklahoma City Community College. The 23-year-old former Miss Oklahoma Teen USA succeeds last year's winner Liv Walbeck. She will now prepare for the Miss USA 2024 competition to be held in California this summer. Christianna Katsieri has been officially announced as Miss Universe Greece 2024 by the Star & Mr GS Hellas organization. The 22-year-old model has previously held the title Miss GS Hellas 2022 and became Miss Earth Greece 2023. She went on to represent Greece at Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam last December. Elizabeth Laker was crowned Miss RNB EspaƱa 2024 (Miss Supranational Spain 2024) on Saturday, April 13 at Teatre Auditori de Salou (TAS). The 25-year-old personal trainer and makeup artist from Arona, Tenerife succeeds last year's winner Lola Wilson. Martina SuĆ”rez of Valencia and Ainara MartĆ­nez of La Rioja were the first and second runners-up, respectively. From 60 beauties who participated during the casting day, only 16 will now move on as finalists for Miss Universe Netherlands 2024. The selection event and official announcement of the Top 16 finalists took place on Saturday, April 13 at Studio 21 in Hilversum. Previously held by Monica van Ee of the Miss Nederland organization, the license for Miss Universe Netherlands has been taken over this year by Milou Verhoeks of the Miss Beauty of the Netherlands. R'Bonney Gabriel to host Miss Universe Philippines 2024 final show

The Miss Universe Philippines organization has officially announced former Miss Universe of the USA, R'Bonney Gabriel as host of the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2024 coronation night. To recall, R'Bonney was crowned Miss Universe 2022 during the the 71st Miss Universe pageant held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans in January 2023. The Filipino-American fashion designer became the second Asian-American woman to win the Miss Universe title since Brook Lee (Miss Universe 1997) and so far, the oldest winner at 28 years old, succeeding Andrea Meza of Mexico.
