Daruma Almenares to represent Cuba at Mister International 2023 in Thailand


Daruma Almenares (left) was proclaimed Mister International Cuba 2023 in a national competition held by Reinado Nacional de Belleza Cuba (RNB Cuba) last July 30 in Miami.

The 29-year-old model, composer, and personal trainer will now represent Cuba at Mister International 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand this September.

He succeeds last year's titleholder Rubert Manuel Arias, a Top 10 finalist at the Mister International 2022 edition held in Quezon City, Philippines.

Before pageantry, Daruma studied veterinary medicine and went into boxing where he earned first place in the Diamond Gloves league. He has been featured as a model in several magazines and had the opportunity to be on the cover on four occasions.

The new Mister International Cuba wants to inspire the youth to fight against bullying and be confident in themselves through his experiences and professional knowledge. He wants to instill in them the true meaning of discipline and that consistency is key to success.

Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2025 is Lyshanda Moyas

Lyshanda Moyas, representing the city of Gweru, was proclaimed Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2025 on Saturday, May 17 at the Harare Hippodrome. The 26-year-old nurse and a finance and marketing consultant beat eight other finalists to win the national competition. Onesimo Nkomo of Nkayi and Rumbidzai Muzopa of Honde Valley were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Last year's winner Sakhile Dube crowned her successor at the end of the glittering event. She made the Top 30 at Miss Universe 2024 last November in Mexico. The 72nd Miss World contestants had the amazing opportunity to experience the cinematic magic of Ramoji Film City, one of the most iconic theme parks in India. Spanning over 2,000 acres, the famous location is considered as the world’s largest film studio complex as recognized by the Guinness World Records. Estonia's Eliise Randmaa wins gold in sports challenge at Miss World 2025

Miss World Estonia Eliise Randmaa has been announced as the gold winner of the 72nd Miss World Sports Challenge. The fast-track event was held on Saturday, May 17 at the iconic Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad, India. Eliise has now secured a Top 10 placement in her continental region and in the Top 40 among 108 contestants vying for this year's title. Miss World Martinique Aurélie Joachim and Miss World Canada Emma Morrrison were awarded the silver and bronze medals, respectively. Miss World Trinidad and Tobago Anna-Lise Nanton placed fourth. Jera Redant bested nine other contestants to be crowned Miss Exclusive 2025 (Miss Earth Belgium 2025) on Saturday, May 17 in Middelkerke. The 72nd Miss World festival continues in Telangana, India with the official announcement of the continental winners of this year's head to head challenge. Advancing to the Top 10 in their continental regions were Idil Bilgen of Türkiye, Millie-Mae Adams of Wales, Faith Bwalya of Zambia, and Anna-Lise Nanton of Trinidad and Tobago. Miss Indonesia Monica Kezia Sembiring was officially announced the winner of the talent competition at Miss World 2025. The talented pianist from North Sumatra beat 23 other finalists to win the fast-track event held at Shilpakala Vedika auditorium in Hyderabad, India. Issie Princesse of Cameroon and Chiara Esposito of Italy placed second and third, respectively. Monica's dazzling piano performance earned her a spot in the Top 10 of her continental group, Asia and Oceania. Kaya Chakrabortty bested over 30 other contestants to win Miss Universe Japan 2024 during the national competition held on Thursday, July 25 in Tokyo. The 22-year-old Japanese-Bangladeshi from Kobe City in Hyogo Prefecture will represent Japan at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico this November. She succeeds last year's winner Rio Miyazaki. Krishan Pauline Alerre of the Philippines was crowned Miss Aura International 2025 on Friday, May 23 at the Rixos Sungate in Antalya, Turkey. The 23-year-old physical education graduate from Pampanga became the second Filipina to win the international pageant next to Alexandra Faith Garcia.
