Daruma Almenares to represent Cuba at Mister International 2023 in Thailand


Daruma Almenares (left) was proclaimed Mister International Cuba 2023 in a national competition held by Reinado Nacional de Belleza Cuba (RNB Cuba) last July 30 in Miami.

The 29-year-old model, composer, and personal trainer will now represent Cuba at Mister International 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand this September.

He succeeds last year's titleholder Rubert Manuel Arias, a Top 10 finalist at the Mister International 2022 edition held in Quezon City, Philippines.

Before pageantry, Daruma studied veterinary medicine and went into boxing where he earned first place in the Diamond Gloves league. He has been featured as a model in several magazines and had the opportunity to be on the cover on four occasions.

The new Mister International Cuba wants to inspire the youth to fight against bullying and be confident in themselves through his experiences and professional knowledge. He wants to instill in them the true meaning of discipline and that consistency is key to success.

Miss Universe Norway 2024 is Lilly Sødal from Kristiansand

Lilly Sødal was crowned Miss Norway 2024 (Miss Universe Norway 2024) during the national competition held last Saturday, August 10 at Rebel in Oslo. The 21-year-old sustainability advocate from Kristiansand received her crown from her predecessor, last year's winner Julie Tollefsen. She will now prepare to represent Norway at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico this November. Athenna Crosby of California bested over 40 other contestants to win the Miss World America 2024 pageant on Sunday, November 17 in Seattle, Washington. The 26-year-old American-Venezuelan model and actress succeeds last year's winner Victoria DiSorbo and will now prepare to represent the United States of America at the 72nd Miss World. Kimberly Nwankolo of Oregon was named first runner-up while Anne Li of the District of Columbia, Aishwarya Kumar of Central Washington, and Heather Alexia Santos of Washington were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Former Miss Slovensko finalist Simona Leskovská has been officially appointed as Miss Supranational Slovakia 2023. Miss Slovakia organization made the announcement on Monday, April 3 via social media. The 31-year-old beauty is a well-known influencer and sports editor from Bratislava. Melissa Bottema was proclaimed the winner of Miss Netherlands 2026 (Miss Universe Netherlands) on Saturday, June 27 at Studio 21 in Hilversum. The 22-year-old model and student from Castletroy, Limerick, was crowned by her predecessor Aadya Srivastava from Galway.
