Miss District of Columbia USA 2024 is Kleo Torres


Miss Nation's Capital, Kleo Torres, was crowned Miss District of Columbia USA 2024 on Saturday, June 29 at the Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company in Washington, D.C.

The 26-year-old former track and field athlete will be representing the District of Columbia at the Miss USA 2024 pageant in Hollywood, California this August.

Kleo succeeds political science graduate Cassie Baloue, last year's winner who placed in the Top 20 at Miss USA 2023 in Reno, Nevada.

The new Miss District of Columbia USA holds a bachelor's degree in science from Alabama State University. She also completed her master's in public administration from the American University School of Public Affairs.

The title of Miss District of Columbia Teen USA 2024 went to Miss Bloomingdale, Chelsea Chambers. She will proceed to compete in Miss Teen USA 2024, also in California this summer.

The coronation ball for The Miss Philippines 2026 took place on Sunday, May 10, at the Grand Ballroom in City of Dreams Manila. Sylvie Tellier officially leaves Miss France organization

After 17 years, former Miss France Sylvie Tellier has officially announced her departure from the Miss France organization. The 44-year-old took to social media on Wednesday, August 31 to make a public statement on her decision to leave, which was made "with a lot of emotion because you don't leave a company after 17 years without memories in your head." Sylvie then went to the show "Touche Pas 脿 Mon Poste" (TPMP) to talk more about it. She said, " I felt that I had nothing more to contribute, I lived the best years" then admitted having wanted shares of the company she worked for nearly 20 years, and if it had become her company, she might have stayed. Patthama Jitsawat, representing the Thai province of Chonburi, was crowned Miss Grand Thailand 2026 on Saturday, March 28 at MGI Hall in Bangkok. The 32-year-old beauty edged out 76 other contestants to win the national competition. She succeeds last year's winner Sarunrat Puagpipat of Phuket. Nadia Mejia-Webb, representing Comunidad USA, was crowned Miss Universe Ecuador 2025 in a national competition held on Saturday, July 26 at Palacio de Cristal in Guayaquil. The spectacular Miss Universe Philippines 2026 national costume competition took place on Thursday, April 16 at the Urdaneta City Cultural and Sports Center in Pangasinan.
