Lina Luaces crowned Miss Universe Cuba 2025


Lina Luaces was crowned Miss Universe Cuba 2025 in a national competition held last July 8 at Milander Park in Hialeah, Florida, USA.

The 22-year-old model representing Santiago de Cuba succeeds last year's winner Marianela Ancheta who made the Top 30 at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico.

Lisbeth Fern谩ndez of Pinar del R铆o and Vanessa Villareal of Regi贸n Oriente were the first and second runners-up, respectively.

Mia Donadio of Isla de la Juventud and Sheila Laza of Regi贸n Central rouded out the Top 5 finalists.

The new Miss Universe Cuba will head to Thailand to compete in the Miss Universe 2025 pageant this November.

Born in Miami to Lebanese roots, Lina is the daughter of Cuban presenter Lili Estefan and businessman Lorenzo Luaces, and the niece of Cuban-American musician and film producer Emilio Estefan and Cuban singer and actress Gloria Estefan.

She is also related to Mexican singer, songwriter and actress Thalia. In a recent post on social media, Lina paid a tribute to her aunt who played the main character in a Mexican television series "Rosalinda" in the 90s.

Miss Universe Paraguay 2026 is Gretha Matiauda

Former Miss Earth Paraguay Gretha Matiauda has recently been appointed as her country's official representative in the Miss Universe 2026 pageant. The 24-year-old beauty from Asunci贸n is an economist, international model and entrepreneur. She succeeds last year's titleholder Yanina G贸mez who made the Top 30 at Miss Universe 2025. Hanoi's Phan Phuong Oanh is the new Miss World Vietnam

Phan Phuong Oanh was proclaimed the winner of the Miss World Vietnam 2025 pageant held on Sunday, March 29 in Ho Chi Minh City. The 23-year-old international business graduate from Hanoi bested 46 other contestants to clinch the coveted national title. Le Phuong Khanh Nhu and Truong Tam Nhu were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Fatima Bosch was crowned Miss Universe Mexico 2025 on Saturday, September 13 at Sala Placido Domingo (Conjunto Santander de Artes Esc茅nicas) in Zapopan, Jalisco. Miss Universe 2025, the 74th Miss Universe competition is set to take place on Friday, November 21 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. Reigning Miss Universe Victoria Kj忙r Theilvig from Denmark will hand over her crown to her successor at the conclusion of the event. Idil Bilgen was crowned Miss Turkey World 2024 during the Miss Turkey 2024 national final on Wednesday, September 11 at the Lazzoni Hotel in Istanbul.
