Lina Luaces crowned Miss Universe Cuba 2025


Lina Luaces was crowned Miss Universe Cuba 2025 in a national competition held last July 8 at Milander Park in Hialeah, Florida, USA.

The 22-year-old model representing Santiago de Cuba succeeds last year's winner Marianela Ancheta who made the Top 30 at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico.

Lisbeth Fernández of Pinar del RĂ­o and Vanessa Villareal of RegiĂłn Oriente were the first and second runners-up, respectively.

Mia Donadio of Isla de la Juventud and Sheila Laza of RegiĂłn Central rouded out the Top 5 finalists.

The new Miss Universe Cuba will head to Thailand to compete in the Miss Universe 2025 pageant this November.

Born in Miami to Lebanese roots, Lina is the daughter of Cuban presenter Lili Estefan and businessman Lorenzo Luaces, and the niece of Cuban-American musician and film producer Emilio Estefan and Cuban singer and actress Gloria Estefan.

She is also related to Mexican singer, songwriter and actress Thalia. In a recent post on social media, Lina paid a tribute to her aunt who played the main character in a Mexican television series "Rosalinda" in the 90s.

Miss Earth 2022 beauties went to Zamboanga City, swimsuit competition pushed through despite heavy rain

For the first time, all of the Miss Earth competitors were flown out to Zamboanga City, the "City of Flowers" in the Mindanao region of the Philippines as part of their eco-tours and the much-awaited swimsuit competition. Together with reigning Miss Earth Destiny Wagner and Miss Earth 2019 Nellys Pimentel, over 80 beauties visited the city’s historic, eco-tourism, and cultural sites, including the 115-year-old city hall and the Grande Santa Cruz Island, a small inhabited island in the southern region known for its pink coralline sand, where they planted mangroves. Supported by the city government headed by Mayor John Dalipe, the necessary preparation for the security and safety of the contestants was put in place. Cuba's Juan Carlos Ariosa wins 8th Mister Global competition

Mister Global Cuba Juan Carlos Ariosa beat 38 other competitors to win Mister Global 2022 held on Saturday, February 11 at the Royal Park Rajapruek in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The 28-year-old actor, model, and dental surgeon originally from Matanzas, Cuba succeeded Danh Chieu Linh of Vietnam for the coveted international title. He also bagged the Mister Photogenic award. Oscar Guerrero of Colombia and William Gama of Brazil were named the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Kim Hee Won of Korea and Setthapan Thongsuk of Thailand rounded out the Top 5 finalists. Athenna Crosby of California bested over 40 other contestants to win the Miss World America 2024 pageant on Sunday, November 17 in Seattle, Washington. The 26-year-old American-Venezuelan model and actress succeeds last year's winner Victoria DiSorbo and will now prepare to represent the United States of America at the 72nd Miss World. Kimberly Nwankolo of Oregon was named first runner-up while Anne Li of the District of Columbia, Aishwarya Kumar of Central Washington, and Heather Alexia Santos of Washington were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Melissa Bottema was proclaimed the winner of Miss Netherlands 2026 (Miss Universe Netherlands) on Saturday, June 27 at Studio 21 in Hilversum. Miss Universe Japan 2026 is Sayuki Ito from Fukuoka

Sayuki Ito was crowned Miss Universe Japan 2026 on Tuesday, June 23 at the Shibuya City Cultural Center in Tokyo. The 26-year-old beauty from Fukuoka Prefecture will represent Japan at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant in Puerto Rico this November. Rina Andrea Delos Santos of Ballesteros, Cagayan was crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2026 on Saturday, June 27 at the Cultural Center of Malitbog, Bukidnon. The 27-year-old medical technology graduate edged out over 30 other contestants to win the national pageant. She will represent the Philippines at Miss Earth 2026 later this year. Kamilla Kiss, 25, was crowned Miss Universe Hungary 2026 on Friday, June 19 at Kálmán Imre Theater in Budapest. She beat 11 other contestants to win the national competition and will now prepare to represent Hungary at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant in Puerto Rico this November. Mia Zottoli Montanaro was proclaimed the winner of Miss Mondo Italia 2026 (Miss World Italy) last Sunday, June 14 at the Ecoresort Le Sirenè in Gallipoli. The 21-year-old model and former volleyball player of Argentine descent from Taranto, Puglia was crowned by her predecessor Sofia Viola.
