LIVE UPDATES: Miss Universe 2025 Top 5 announced


The Miss Universe 2025 final competition continues in Bangkok, Thailand with the exciting announcement of the finalists who will move on to the question and answer round.

From the Top 12 contestants, the selection committee made another difficult decision to narrow them down to just five deserving finalists.

Meet the 74th Miss Universe Top 5:

Côte d'Ivoire – Olivia Yacé

Mexico – Fátima Bosch

Philippines – Ahtisa Manalo

Thailand – Praveenar Singh

Venezuela – Stephany Abasali

The Top 5 finalists will go through two rounds of question and answer with the selection committee to determine who will take home the coveted Miss Universe crown.

Cuba's Juan Carlos Ariosa wins 8th Mister Global competition

Mister Global Cuba Juan Carlos Ariosa beat 38 other competitors to win Mister Global 2022 held on Saturday, February 11 at the Royal Park Rajapruek in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The 28-year-old actor, model, and dental surgeon originally from Matanzas, Cuba succeeded Danh Chieu Linh of Vietnam for the coveted international title. He also bagged the Mister Photogenic award. Oscar Guerrero of Colombia and William Gama of Brazil were named the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Kim Hee Won of Korea and Setthapan Thongsuk of Thailand rounded out the Top 5 finalists. The rest of the Top 15 were the gentlemen from Chile, India, Mexico, Nigeria, North Cyprus, Peru, Poland, South Africa, Spain, and Vietnam. Miss Maine USA 2025 is Shelby Howell from Bangor

Shelby Howell, representing Bangor, was crowned Miss Maine USA 2025 during the state final held on Sunday, May 11 in Portland. The 24-year-old real estate agent succeeds last year's winner Anne Baldridge and will now proceed to represent Maine at Miss USA 2025. Mara Carpenter of Cumberland County was named first runner-up while Jordon Hudson of Hancock, Reykha Lindor of Old Town, and Hannah Trottier-Braun of Lewiston were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. No stranger to pageantry, the new Miss Maine USA is a former Miss Multiverse America and the grand winner of Miss CosmoWorld 2023 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She initiated the mission-driven nonprofit Single Parent Housing Foundation to help single parents in Maine find stability, support, and a path to homeownership. Polish-American Emily Reng to represent Poland at Miss Universe 2025

Polish-American Emily Reng was officially announced by the Miss Polonia organization as Miss Universe Poland 2025 on Wednesday, October 22. The 20-year-old will now prepare to represent Poland at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this coming November. Emily is a graduate of John Hersey High School in Arlington Heights, Illinois and is currently a student at the University of South Carolina. The new Miss Universe Poland is no stranger to pageantry. Prior to competing at Miss Polonia 2024 where she finished second runner-up, she won the title of Miss Polish America 2024 in Chicago. Jennifer Barreto crowned Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2026

Jennifer Barreto of San Sebastián triumphed over 30 other contestants to win Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2026 on Thursday, June 25 in Caguas. The 27-year-old psychologist will represent Puerto Rico at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant to be held in the Caribbean island this November. Génesis Dávila of Arroyo was named first runner-up while Vivianie Díaz-Arroyo of Aguas Buenas, Nicole Marie Colón of Aibonito, and Chelsey García of Añasco were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Ariana Pagán of Orocovis, Natalia Molina of Salinas, and Krystal González of Utuado made the Top 8 while the representatives of Caguas, Carolina, Coamo, Dorado, Juana Díaz, Manatí and Toa Baja completed the Top 15 semifinalists. Miss Universe Netherlands 2026 is Melissa Bottema from Groningen

Melissa Bottema was proclaimed the winner of Miss Netherlands 2026 (Miss Universe Netherlands) on Saturday, June 27 at Studio 21 in Hilversum. The 25-year-old social worker, gymnastics coach and model from Groningen was crowned by her predecessor Nathalie Mogbelzada who made the Top 30 at Miss Universe 2025 last November in Bangkok, Thailand. The new Miss Netherlands is no stranger to pageantry. She has previously competed in Miss Intercontinental where she made the Top 20 and Miss Grand International where she placed 5th runner-up. Sayuki Ito was crowned Miss Universe Japan 2026 on Tuesday, June 23 at the Shibuya City Cultural Center in Tokyo. The 26-year-old beauty from Fukuoka Prefecture will represent Japan at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant in Puerto Rico this November. Jasmyn Mimi Johnson and Erika Watanabe were named the first and second runners-up, respectivel, while Seiyu Hata and Mone Gibo completed the Top 5 finalists. Rina Andrea Delos Santos of Ballesteros, Cagayan was crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2026 on Saturday, June 27 at the Cultural Center of Malitbog, Bukidnon. The 27-year-old medical technology graduate edged out over 30 other contestants to win the national pageant. She will represent the Philippines at Miss Earth 2026 later this year. Celinee Santos Frias was crowned Miss Universe Dominican Republic 2024 during the Miss Republica Dominicana 2024 final competition held on Sunday, May 5 at Centro de Convenciones Sambil in Santo Domingo. The 24-year-old model and actress, representing Distrito Nacional, will now represent the Dominican Republic at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico later this year. Vanessa Pulgarin from Colombia was proclaimed the winner MGI All Stars 2026 on Saturday, May 30 at MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. The 34-year-old model bested over 50 other contestants to win the first edition of the pageant. She is expected to return for the second edition to defend her title.
