14th Mister International is Manu Franco of Dominican Republic

Manu Franco of the Dominican Republic was proclaimed the 14th Mister International on Sunday, October 30 at the New Frontier Theater in Cubao, Quezon City, Philippines. The 21-year-old actor, model and fitness enthusiast beat 34 other distinctively handsome men from around the world to win his country's first Mister International. Apart from the title, he was also awarded Best in Formal Wear. India's Lukanand Kshetrimayum was named first runner-up while the representatives from Venezuela, Orangel de Jesús Dirinot Guanipa, Hong Kong, Jason Li Kwai Chiu, Philippines, Myron Jude "MJ" Ordillano, and Spain, Juan Pablo Colías González were announced the second, third, fourth and fifth runners-up, respectively. Rounding out the Top 10 were Cuba, Rubert Manuel Arias Solozábal, Mexico, Jorge Andrés Villegas Ramon, Thailand, Surasak "Tor" Muangkaew, and USA, Daryn Alexander, while Brazil, Luan Antonelli Bristot, Czech Republic, Matěj Švec, Malaysia, Roger Hugo Amandus

14th Mister International press presentation, meet 'media popularity' winners

The 14th Mister International pageant held an official press presentation on Sunday, October 23 at the Luxent Hotel in Quezon City, Philippines. A "media popularity" poll was conducted among the members of the press where Juan Pablo Colías of Spain, Jacob Li of Hong Kong, MJ Ordillano of the Philippines, Surasak Muangkeaw of Thailand and Daryn Alexander of the USA emerged as winners. Meet and greet, official photoshoots, sashing ceremony, and sponsor visit were just some of the activities that the 34 contestants have been busy doing since their arrival in the host country during the weekend. This year's Mister International grand final will be held next Sunday, October 30 at the New Frontier Theater in Araneta City, Cubao. 14th Mister International contestants depart for Manila, Philippines

After a 3-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 14th Mister International competition is all set to take place in Manila, Philippines. Over 30 contestants from across the world are now heading to the host country to compete for the international title. New countries to debut this year are Albania, Cuba, Laos, and Sierra Leone. Following the sad passing of its founder Alan Sim, the Mister International organization announced that the upcoming show must go on. An official statement read: "Mister International is a global brand built by the vision of our founder. It is his dying wish to preserve the vision and its noble cause for the next generation." Mister International Thailand 2022 is Surasak 'Tor' Muangkeaw

Surasak "Tor" Muangkeaw was proclaimed Mister International Thailand 2022 in a national competition held on Saturday, October 1 at the SHOW DC Hall in Bangkok. The 27-year-old mass communication graduate and film photographer from Lamphun beat 29 other contestants to win the national title. He will represent Thailand at the 14th Mister International competition this October 30 in the Philippines. Kanawach Kueakanchanaphon and Teerapat Angkanit were announced as the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Nathaphop Kanjanteak and Nathas Tunjaroen rounded out the Top 5 finalists. The new Mister International Thailand is no stranger to pageantry. In 2019, he was named Mister Universe Thailand and went on to win Mister Universe Tourism in the Philippines. Mister Japan 2022 is Kaito Iwami of Chiba

Kaito Iwami was named Mister Japan 2022 during the conclusion of the national competition that took place on Friday, September 16 at Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo. The 28-year-old actor and fitness trainer representing a Japanese prefecture called Chiba will now prepare to represent Japan at the 14th Mister International competition in the Philippines this October. Completing the Top 5 finalists were Ryo Hattogo of Niigata, Okamoto Kotetsu of Okayama, Koji Sato of Fukuoka, and Takashi Akiyama of Hyogo. "I honestly feel that my efforts have paid off. Once again, I would like to thank everyone involved and those who have supported me," the new Mister Japan wrote in a statement on social media. "From now on, I would like to continue to work hard every day so that I can grow into an attractive human being as an actor," he added. Iliya Shahedi was named Mister International Netherlands 2022 on Saturday, September 17 in a competition held at Zalencentrum De Brug in Reeuwijk. The 23-year-old fitness enthusiast of Persian descent succeeds last year's winner Mike Van Doorn and he will now prepare to represent the Netherlands at the 14th Mister International pageant in the Philippines this October. At the same event, Franklin Lopes and Kenji Schoonderwoerd respectively clinched the titles Mister Senior and Junior Netherlands 2022. "Words can not describe how happy I am to win the title," the new Mister International Netherlands wrote in a statement on social media. Iliya is not a stranger to pageantry.
