Miss Universe Bangladesh 2025 is Tangia Zaman Methila

Tangia Zaman Methila was crowned Miss Universe Bangladesh 2025 in a special ceremony held on Thursday, September 18 in Dhaka. The 33-year-old model, TV host and film actress previously won Miss Universe Bangladesh 2020 but was unable to compete in the Miss Universe pageant due to travel restrictions. "Despite challenges in 2020, my spirit remained unbroken. This victory is a testament to perseverance and dreams. Grateful for your support and love. Together, let's shine brighter," she wrote online. The new Miss Universe Bangladesh succeeded last year's titleholder Aniqa Alam and will now prepare to represent her country at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Bangladesh to debut at Miss International with Farzana Yasmin Ananna

Farzana Yasmin Ananna was recently crowned Miss International Bangladesh 2023 and she will be the first representative of her country at Miss International. The 23-year-old model, politician, and women and gender studies graduate will soon travel to Tokyo, Japan to compete in the 61st Miss International pageant. Farzana lost her mother just a few hours before winning her national title. In a post on social media, she shared: "Even amidst my struggles, I'm determined. I am on the brink of making history as the first-ever Bangladeshi to grace the Miss International stage." Miss Universe Bangladesh withdraws from the 69th Miss Universe pageant

Miss Universe Bangladesh 2020 Tangia Zaman Methila will no longer participate in the 69th Miss Universe pageant in Florida, USA next month. Her profile has already been removed from the official Miss Universe website. The actress and model has been very controversial since winning her national pageant earlier this month. Her crowning was met with huge public backlash and disappointment. According to reports, Tangia filmed a man in a public men's restroom without his consent. Although a public apology was already issued after admitting to the act, the viral video still resurfaced. Another issue was her age of 27 as many people have claimed that she lied about it to enter the competition. In 2019, she was named Miss Supranational Bangladesh at already 27. Miss Universe Bangladesh 2020 is Tangia Zaman Methila

Tangia Zaman Methila triumphed over nine other finalists to be crowned Miss Universe Bangladesh 2020 in a national final held on Saturday, April 3 at the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden in Dhaka. The 28-year-old model and actress succeeds the last winner from 2019, Shirin Akter Shila. She was previously proclaimed Miss Supranational Bangladesh and was supposed to participate in Miss Supranational 2019 but withdrew from the competition. Farzana Yasmin and Farzana Akter Ani were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Aonkita Dey, Apana Chakma, Fatema Tuz Johura, Mariyam Ahmed, Masuda Khan, Nidra Dey, and Towhida Tusnim Tifa were the rest of the Top 10 finalists. The new Miss Universe Bangladesh will now prepare to represent her south Asian country at the Miss Universe 2020 pageant in Hollywood, Florida, USA, this May. Miss Universe Bangladesh 2020 Top 10 finalists announced

The Top 10 finalists of the Miss Universe Bangladesh 2020 have been selected during the elimination round held at RTV’s studio. They are Aonkita Dey, Apana Chakma, Farzana Akter Ani, Farzana Yasmin, Fatema Tuz Johura, Mariyam Ahmed, Masuda Khan, Nidra Dey, Tangia Zaman Methila, and Towhida Tusnim Tifa. The panel of judges includes actress Bidya Sinha Meem, singer Tahsan Rahman Khan, Zurhem founder and creative director Mehruz Munir, and BRAC University’s international affairs manager Irene Sommer Tilger. Sponsored by Flora Bank, the Miss Universe Bangladesh 2020 final will be held on Saturday, March 20 in Dhaka and the winner will represent Bangladesh at the 69th Miss Universe pageant this May in Florida, USA.
