Miss Universe Bangladesh 2020 is Tangia Zaman Methila


Tangia Zaman Methila triumphed over nine other finalists to be crowned Miss Universe Bangladesh 2020 in a national final held on Saturday, April 3 at the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden in Dhaka.

The 28-year-old model and actress succeeds the last winner from 2019, Shirin Akter Shila. She was previously proclaimed Miss Supranational Bangladesh and was supposed to participate in Miss Supranational 2019 but withdrew from the competition.

Farzana Yasmin and Farzana Akter Ani were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Aonkita Dey, Apana Chakma, Fatema Tuz Johura, Mariyam Ahmed, Masuda Khan, Nidra Dey, and Towhida Tusnim Tifa were the rest of the Top 10 finalists.

The new Miss Universe Bangladesh will now prepare to represent her south Asian country at the Miss Universe 2020 pageant in Hollywood, Florida, USA, this May.

The Miss Philippines 2026 titleholders officially crowned

The coronation ball for The Miss Philippines 2026 took place on Sunday, May 10, at the Grand Ballroom in City of Dreams Manila. Miss Universe Peru 2026 is Luren Márquez

Luren Márquez was crowned Miss Peru 2026 (Miss Universe Peru) in a special ceremony held on Wednesday, April 15 at the Teatro Municipal del Callao. The 27-year-old television presenter and model received the crown from her predecessor Karla Bacigalupo with the presence of the reigning Miss Universe Fátima Bosch from Mexico. Born in Ica, the new Miss Universe Peru is a business administration graduate from the University of Lima. She also obtained her degree in communication from the Florida Internationl University in the USA. No stranger to pageantry, Luren placed first runner-up at the Miss Peru 2024 pageant. She will now prepare to represent her country at Miss Universe 2026 to be held in Puerto Rico later this year. Russia's Varvara Yakovenko wins Miss Intercontinental 2025

Varvara Yakovenko beat over 50 other contestants to win Miss Intercontinental 2025 on Thursday, January 29 at V Hotel Sahl Hasheesh in Egypt. The 18-year-old model became the fourth woman from Russia to hold the international beauty title. She succeeds last year's winner María Cepero from Puerto Rico. Lorena Suárez Lara from Cuba was named first runner-up while Vanessa Natcha Wenk of Thailand and Faidha Kassim Kivuyo of Tanzania were the second and third runners-up, respectively. The spectacular Miss Universe Philippines 2026 national costume competition took place on Thursday, April 16 at the Urdaneta City Cultural and Sports Center in Pangasinan. Patthama Jitsawat, representing the Thai province of Chonburi, was crowned Miss Grand Thailand 2026 on Saturday, March 28 at MGI Hall in Bangkok. The 32-year-old beauty edged out 76 other contestants to win the national competition. She succeeds last year's winner Sarunrat Puagpipat of Phuket. Panasaya Angelica Damaagd of Buriram was names first runner-up while Ilin Nabsuk of Phuket, Natthakitta Kerdkanchiroj of Saraburi, and Naruemol Chaloemroek of Sukhothai were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively.
