Miss Earth 2023 to be held at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center on December 22

Miss Earth 2023 grand final and coronation show has been officially announced to take place on December 22 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. SECC, the city's largest convention center, is conveniently located near a big local shopping center. It comprises four indoor exhibition halls totaling 40,000 square meters, an additional outdoor exhibition space of 15,000 to 20,000 square meters, and one 2,000-seat convention center. The 23rd edition of the Miss Earth pageant, to be organized by Carousel Productions and TNA Entertainment, is expected to welcome more than 80 contestants from across the planet to compete for the highly coveted international title. Pre-pageant events and activities are happening from November 28 until December 21. Further details including the schedules, hosts, and official hotel have yet to be revealed. Miss Earth Australia 2023 is Helen Latukefu

An ecologist of Tongan and Scottish descent from Sydney, Helen Latukefu, was crowned Miss Earth Australia 2023 in a national competition held on Saturday, September 9 at the Tang Media Performing Arts Centre in Smithfield. The Top 5 finalists and elemental queens were Deborah Madriaga (Miss Earth Air), Kajol Chand (Miss Earth Water), Luna Ojacastro (Miss Earth Fire), and Patricia Sheeran (Miss Earth Charity). This year's Miss Earth Australia winner succeeds Sheridan Mortlock who placed in the Top 4 and clinched the Miss Earth Air title at Miss Earth 2022 last November in the Philippines. Apart from the coveted national title, Helen also went home with the Miss Millionaires Alliance and Best in Swimwear awards. Miss Earth South Africa 2023 is Zabelo Hlabisa

Zabelo Hlabisa bested nine other finalists to win Miss Earth South Africa 2023 in a ceremony held on Saturday, September 9 at Sandton Southern Sun in Johannesburg. The 29-year-old entrepreneur and international multi-award-winning model from Newcastle in KwaZulu-Natal will now represent South Africa at Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam this December. She succeeds last year's winner Ziphozethu Sithebe. Belinde Schreuder, Duduzile Mbobo, and Zama Mbatha were announced as the runners-up and were awarded the title Miss Air, Miss Water, and Miss Fire, respectively. Denmark is set to return to the Miss Earth pageant this year with newly appointed Miss Earth Denmark 2023 Silvia Ooi Topholm. The 22-year-old biracial beauty is a medical student from Copenhagen who was born to a Danish father and a Malaysian mother. She placed in the Top 11 at Miss Denmark 2023 and bagged the Miss Natural Beauty award. For her advocacy, Silvia believes that science is the key to solving the current climate crisis and many other global issues. She wants to use her platform to draw attention to environmental and biotechnical start-ups. Deliart Association, the organizers of the annual Miss Shqiperia (Miss Albania) and The Miss Globe pageants, has been officially announced as the new owner of the license for this year's Miss Earth Albania. The Tirana-based organization has appointed Drita Ziri as Miss Earth Albania 2023 and will now go on to represent Albania at Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam this December. No stranger to pageantry, the  18-year-old model and TV host from Fushë-Krujë was crowned Miss Shqiperia 2022 and went on to participate in The Miss Globe 2022 where she finished as second runner-up and bagged the Miss Bikini award. Nadira Isaac was crowned Maharani Earth Malaysia 2023 during the Maharani Malaysia 2023 (Empress of Malaysia) grand final held on Sunday, August 27 at the Swiss Garden Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. The 22-year-old entrepreneur edged out 14 other finalists to win the national title and will now prepare to represent Malaysia at Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam this December. Priyan Sain clinched the title of Miss Earth India 2023 during the Miss Divine Beauty 2023 national final held on Saturday, August 26 in New Delhi. The 20-year-old student, dancer, and taekwondo player from Jaipur, Rajasthan succeeds last year's winner Vanshika Parmar, and will now prepare to represent India at the Miss Earth 2023 pageant in Vietnam this December. She received her crown from reigning Miss Earth from Korea Mina Sue Choi who was invited as a special guest along with Miss Earth Air from Australia Sheridan Mortlock. The Miss Earth Thailand 2023 final will take place on Friday, September 1 at the Grand Ballroom of the Intercontinental Hotel in Bangkok. Following an audition round, 12 contestants have been selected to compete for the national title and the opportunity to represent Thailand at Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam this December. Their official sashing ceremony was held on Saturday, August 12 with the presence of national director Sirikan Onsonkran, last year's winner Chawanphat Kongnim and her court of elemental queens. A series of pre-pageant events and activities have been prepared for the beauties including workshops, seminars, and a trip to Vietnam, among others. Emilie Svendby has been officially appointed as Miss Earth Norway 2023 and will soon represent Norway at Miss Earth 2023 in Southeast Asia. The 20-year-old nursing home employee and women's health advocate hailing from Brumunddal was third runner-up during the Miss Norway 2023 (Miss Universe Norway 2023) pageant recently held in Oslo. She succeeds Miss Earth Norway 2022 Lilly Sødal who placed in the Top 20 among 85 contestants at Miss Earth 2022 in Manila, Philippines last November. According to Miss Earth's official announcement, Emilie wants to advocate for other women and use her platform to assist women in their needs. Her mission is to contribute to women's health science and address various health issues women face. The 23rd Miss Earth final will be held on December 16 in Vietnam.
