Miss Earth Thailand 2023 is Cora Bliault

Cora Bliault was crowned Miss Earth Thailand 2023 in a glittering competition held on Friday, September 1 at the Grand Ballroom of the InterContinental Bangkok.

The 18-year-old Thai-Canadian model edged out 11 other competitors to win the national title. She succeeds last year's winner Chawanphat Kongnim and will now represent Thailand at Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam this December.

As an Earth advocate, Cora went online to share how improper disposal of trash and waste that humans excessively generate poses a threat to the environment because they lead to water and air pollution, and climate change.

"To address these problems, it's crucial to promote recycling, reduce single-use items, and encourage sustainable consumption practices to minimize the negative impact on the environment," she said.

Piyamol Minyong was named Miss Earth Land while Warintorn Poopadrae, Kanchanok Sarathee, and Chawanlak Mudleb were awarded the title Miss Earth Water, Miss Earth Air, and Miss Earth Fire Thailand, respectively.

Thailand has yet to win Miss Earth since its first participation in the pageant in 2001 but the country has managed to achieve 12 placements and three of them were in the Top 4 with Watsaporn Wattanakoon (2010), Punika Kulsoontornrut (2013), and Jareerat Petsom (2021).
