Binibining Pilipinas 2022: 'Parade of Beauties' took place at Araneta City after 3 years

After three years, the traditional Binibining Pilipinas grand "Parade of Beauties" made a comeback at Araneta City, formerly called Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon City. Wearing their floral printed one-shoulder one-piece swimsuits by fashion stylist Justine Aliman and floral headdresses, the 40 beauties who are vying for this year's coveted national titles paraded the streets on Friday, July 23. Binibining Pilipinas 2022, the 58th edition of the national competition, will take place next Sunday, July 31 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The show will air on ABS-CBN's Kapamilya Channel, Metro Channe, A2Z, TV5, IWantTFC, and YouTube. Former Miss Universe Catriona Universe Gray will be the presenter together with former queens Nicole Cordoves and Samantha Bernardo. Masbate representative Hannah Arnold bested over 30 other contestants to win the Binibining Pilipinas 2021 pageant on Sunday, July 11 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. The 24-year-old Filipino-Australian science advocate and model took home the title of Binibining Pilipinas International 2021 (Miss International Philippines) in her second attempt at the national competition. "Freedom of speech is a basic human right that we all must remember and it is important for democracy and with the upcoming elections, we definitely need free speech. On Twitter, we are limited to a few characters, and what I've seen from these tweets have been powerful and helped me think of who I would like to vote for in the upcoming elections," she said during the question and answer round.
