Binibining Pilipinas International 2021 is Hannah Arnold of Masbate

Masbate representative Hannah Arnold bested over 30 other contestants to win the Binibining Pilipinas 2021 pageant on Sunday, July 11 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

The 24-year-old Filipino-Australian science advocate and model took home the title of Binibining Pilipinas International 2021 (Miss International Philippines) in her second attempt at the national competition.

"Freedom of speech is a basic human right that we all must remember and it is important for democracy and with the upcoming elections, we definitely need free speech. On Twitter, we are limited to a few characters, and what I've seen from these tweets have been powerful and helped me think of who I would like to vote for in the upcoming elections," she said during the question and answer round.

Other winners were Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2021 Samantha Alexandra Panlilio of Cavite, Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2021 Cinderella Faye Obeñita of Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental, and Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2021 Maureen Ann Montagne of Batangas.

Gabrielle Camille Basiano of Borongan, Eastern Samar, and Meiji Cruz of Valenzuela were the first and second runners-up, respectively.

Binibining Pilipinas winners will represent the Philippines at various international competitions namely Miss International, Miss Grand International, Miss Intercontinental, and Miss Globe.

The Philippines has won the Miss International crown five times with Aurora Pijuan (1970), Melanie Marquez (1979), Lara Quigaman (2005), Bea Santiago (2013), Kylie Verzosa (2016).

Opal Suchata Chuangsri from Thailand beat 107 other contestants to be crowned Miss World 2025 on Saturday, May 31 at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Opal Suchata Chuangsri was officially proclaimed Miss World Thailand 2025 in a special press presentation held on Tuesday, April 22 in Bangkok. The 22-year-old political science major at Thammasat University will represent Thailand at Miss World 2025 in Hyderabad ( Telangana), India this May. Sofiya Tkachuk, 25, from Rivne, has recently been crowned Miss Universe Ukraine 2025 and will represent Ukraine at the 74th Miss Universe pageant. Xue Hou was crowned Miss Universe China 2024 during the national competition on Sunday, July 28 in Sanya Bay, Sanya City, Hainan Province. The 22-year-old model from Beijing will represent China at Miss Universe 2025 (74th Miss Universe) whose date and venue have yet to be announced. Korea will be represented at the 71st Miss Universe pageant by Hanna Kim. The 27-year-old model currently based in New York City was appointed as Miss Universe Korea 2022 last April. She was the first runner-up during last year's national competition. Apart from modeling, Hanna is a linguist and interpreter, who specialized in clinical trials. She is also a skilled classical ballet dancer. "Words cannot describe how honored I am to be representing Korea at the 71st edition of Miss Universe," she shared on social media.
