Miss International 2023 Andrea Rubio returns home to Venezuela

Miss International 2023 Andrea Rubio has returned home after winning the 61st Miss International competition on October 26 in Tokyo, Japan. The 24-year-old beauty who bagged her country's ninth Miss International crown received a special tribute and welcome in the variety program "Súper Sábado Sensacional" on Venevisión. Former Miss International winners from Venezuela, Edymar Martínez (Miss International 2015) and Mariem Velazco (Miss International 2018) also graced the show and fulfilled the tradition of handing out the Japanese doll to the new queen. "This for me is a dream come true. Receiving the iconic doll from two people I admire so much is a moment I will never forget," Andrea shared. Miss International 2023 is Andrea Rubio of Venezuela

Andrea Rubio of Venezuela bested 69 other contestants to win Miss International 2023 on Thursday, October 26 at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. The 24-year-old model from Caracas succeeds last year's winner Jasmin Selberg of Germany. She became the ninth Miss International winner from Venezuela. Colombia's Sofía Osío Luna was named first runner-up while the representatives from Peru, Camila Díaz Daneri, Philippines, Nicole Borromeo, and Bolivia, Vanessa Hayes Schutt were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Rounding out the Top 7 finalists were Mexico, Itzía Garcia, and Thailand, Supaporn Ritthipruek. The rest of the Top 15 were Côte d'Ivoire, Nassita Diako, Dominican Republic, Yamilex Hernandez, Greece, Zoi Asoumanaki, Hong Kong, Verna Leung, Malaysia, Cassandra Yap, Panama, Linette Clement, Puerto rico, Amanda Paola Solis, and Vietnam, Nguyen Phuong Nhi. Miss Venezuela organization released an official statement explaining its selection process in response to allegations related to the results of the recently concluded Miss Venezuela 2022 final won by Diana Silva of Distrito Capital. According to the statement, since 2018 the evaluation process of the candidates is continuous and is made up of four different stages because the evolution of the young women cannot be measured solely and exclusively with the performance they have during the final night. Here are the important stages of the selection process: First - The first stage of the evaluation is the online application, a filter that the aspirants must go through when registering for the competition and their records must comply with all the requirements requested for registration. Miss Portuguesa, Andrea Rubio was crowned Miss International Venezuela 2022 during Miss Venezuela 2022 national final held on Wednesday, November 16 at the Poliedro de Caracas. The 23-year-old beauty was selected among 24 competitors for the national title. She is a social communicator, professional model, and digital content creator. Isbel Parra of Región Guayana, who will compete in Miss International 2022 this December in Japan, relinquished her reign at the end of the event. Venezuela won Miss International eight times with Nina Sicilia Hernandez (1985), Consuelo Adler (1997), Vivian Urdaneta (2000), Goizeder Azua (2003), Daniela di Giacomo (2006), Elizabeth Mosquera (2010), Edymar Martínez (2015), and Mariem Velazco (2018). Miss Venezuela 2022 'Gala Interactiva' winners announced, new logo revealed

The Miss Venezuela 2022 "Gala Interactiva" was held on Saturday, October 22 where the voted winners of 12 special awards from the pageant's sponsors were announced. Hosted by Alicia Dolanyi, Alessandra Sánchez, and Jordán Mendoza, the show featured Spanish singer Paloma San Basilio as an international guest performer with the participation of Venezuelans Lion Lázaro, Thomaz and the duo Rafa and Chinín, who filled the stage with energy. The highly anticipated official presentation of the 24 contestants vying for Miss Venezuela 2022 took place on Saturday, November 10 in Caracas. Hosted by "Súper Sábado Sensacional" presenter Henrys Silva, the special show aired on Venevisión with simultaneous live streaming on missvenezuela.tv . The reigning queens, Miss Venezuela 2021 Amanda Dudamel, Miss Venezuela World 2021 Ariagny Daboin, and Miss International Venezuela 2020 Isbel Parra were also present for the sashing ceremony.
