Kirby Elizabeth Self, representing Upstate, was crowned Miss South Carolina USA 2023 on Saturday, March 4 at the North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center in North Charleston. The 23-year-old beauty from Greenwood, South Carolina, is a former track athlete champion and a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in political science and women's leadership. She bested over 20 other competitors to win the state title and will now prepare to represent South Carolina at the Miss USA 2023 pageant in Reno, Nevada later this year. Marley Stokes was crowned Miss South Carolina USA 2021 in a glittering competition held last Saturday, March 6 at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. The 23-year-old former Miss South Carolina Teen USA from Lexington is a model, professional makeup artist, and a licensed phlebotomist. She placed second runner-up in Miss Teen USA 2016. Another winner at the venue is a 17-year-old native of Easley, Augusta Roach, who took home the title of Miss South Carolina Teen USA 2021. She is a senior in high school who plans to study mass communications at the University of South Carolina Honors College. Marley and Augusta will represent South Carolina at the 2021 Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants, respectively.
