Ecuador's Andrea Aguilera wins Miss Supranational 2023

Andrea Aguilera of Ecuador was crowned Miss Supranational 2023 in a glittering event held on Friday, July 13 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Małopolska, Poland. The 22-international business student bested 64 other competitors to win her country's first Miss Supranational title. She succeeds last year's winner Lalela Mswane of South Africa. Pauline Amelinckx of the Philippines was named first runner-up while Sancler Frantz of Brazil, Emma Rose Collingridge of the United Kingdom, and Ngan Dang Thanh of Vietnam were announced as the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. The continental queens were from Zimbabwe, Sakhile Dube, India, Pragnya Ayyagari, Peru, Valeria Flórez, Curacao, Andreina Pereira, and Gibraltar, Michelle Lopez Desoisa. No stranger to pageantry, the new Miss Supranational previously held the title of Miss Grand Ecuador and went on to participate in Miss Grand International 2021 in Bangkok, Thailand where she placed first runner-up.

After two weeks of pre-pageant activities, challenges, and preliminary evaluations, Miss Supranational 2023 is culminating tonight at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Małopolska, Poland. South Africa's first-ever Miss Supranational, Lalela Mswane, will pass the crown to her successor at the end of the event. Contestants from 65 countries around the world will battle it out to win the prestigious title. Hosted by former Miss South Africa Jo-Ann Strauss with Polish actor and presenter Martin Fitch, the event will be streaming live on the Miss Supranational official YouTube channel from 8 p.m. local time. Miss Supranational 2023 preliminary competition standouts

The Miss Supranational 2023 preliminary competition was held on Tuesday, July 11 in Nowy Sącz, Małopolska, Poland. Following the withdrawal of Albania, Chile, Equatorial Guinea, and Somalia for various reasons, 65 contestants were left competing in their swimsuits and evening gowns during yesterday's evaluation event hosted by Ivan Podrez. The judges were reigning Mister Supranational Luis Daniel Gálvez, reigning Miss Supranational Lalela Mswane, former Miss Supranational Srinidhi Shetty, Miss Supranational 2022 third runner-up Adinda Cresheilla, and creative director of the organization Andre Sleigh. Standouts for their exceptional performances on stage were the contestants from Botswana, Brazil, Cambodia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Gibraltar, India, Malaysia, Nigeria, Peru, South Africa, Thailand, Vietnam, and Zimbabwe. The Miss Supranational 2023 Supra Model of the Year competition was held on Sunday, July 9 at the Hotel Czarny Potok Resort Spa & Conference in Krynica-Zdrój. Valentina Mora of Colombia, Marie Jedličková of the Czech Republic, Patraporn Wang of Thailand, Maliqué Maranda of The Bahamas, and Sakhile Dube of Zimbabwe were named the continental winners. One of them will advance to the Top 24 to be announced during the final show this Friday, July 14. Rounding out the Top 10 were Yasmine Wognin of Côte d’Ivoire, Deidre Walker of Malaysia, Camille Fabery of Puerto Rico, Lola Wilson of Spain, and Rylee Spinks of the United States. Albania's Klara Musabelliu withdraws from Miss Supranational 2023

Miss Supranational Organization made an announcement on Monday, July 3 that Miss Supranational Albania Klara Musabelliu decided to withdraw from the competition due to personal reasons. In a post on social media, Klara shared: "Unfortunately I decide to withdraw from the Miss Supranational experience. I tried to do my best and I forced myself until my body started giving me signals to tell me that it had reached the limit." "I’m very sad about this, I didn’t want things to go in this way I wanted to make my country and my family proud but I realized that there are more important things I have to think about now," she added. The Albanian beauty also went on to thank the pageant organizers for taking care of her and for the magical few days of her stay in Poland. Miss Supranational 2023: Meet the contestants

Sixty-five contestants from around the world have arrived in Nowy Sącz, Małopolska, Poland to compete for the coveted title of Miss Supranational 2023. Four countries making a debut in the competition this year include Botswana, the Cayman Islands, Mozambique, and the United Kingdom while returning countries consist of Albania, Cameroon, Croatia, Equatorial Guinea, Gibraltar, Nicaragua, The Bahamas, and Togo. Since their arrival in the host country, pre-pageant activities immediately started — photo shooting, filming, touring, and of course, enjoying a once-in-a-lifetime Supranational experience. One of them will soon succeed South Africa's Lalela Mswane who will be passing the Miss Supranational crown in the upcoming final and coronation show this July 14 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater.
