Česká Miss Essens 2022 is Vanesa Švédová

Vanesa Švédová was crowned Česká Miss Essens 2022 (Miss Universe Czech Republic 2023) in a glittering final on Sunday, December 11 at the O2 Universum in Prague. The 19-year-old model from Přerov is now expected to represent the Czech Republic at the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) pageant. "Oh my goodness, I still can’t believe y’all really chose me. Thank you all for the votes, for the SMS, to the jury, the audience, the girls, the production for the great care and organization, to everyone who helped me in any way to achieve this," she shared online after winning her title. Rounding out the Top 3 winners were Miss Global Czech Republic 2023 Marie Danči, 25, from Krnov, and Miss Earth Czech Republic 2023 Kristýna Pavlovičová, 20, from Strakonice. They will respectively compete in the Miss Global 2023 and Miss Earth 2023 editions in Vietnam. Miss Venezuela 2022 is Diana Silva of Distrito Capital

Miss Distrito Capital, Diana Silva, bagged the title of Miss Venezuela 2022 during the 70th year anniversary edition of the Miss Venezuela pageant on Wednesday, November 16 at the Poliedro de Caracas. The 25-year-old cabin crew and advertising student succeeded last year's winner Amanda Dudamel and will now represent Venezuela at the 72nd Miss Universe pageant (Miss Universe 2023). She was also awarded Miss Photogenic. Miss Portuguesa, Andrea Rubio, 23, was crowned Miss Venezuela International 2022 by outgoing titleholder Isbel Parra of Región Guayana. She will go to the 61st Miss International (Miss International 2023) in Japan. Rounding out the Top 5 were first runner-up Miss Delta Amacuro, Daniela Malavé; second runner-up Miss La Guaira, Andrea Romero; and third runner-up Miss Amazonas, Katheryne Bello. The sash presentation ceremony of the Miss Universe Malta 2023 pageant was held on Sunday, November 6 at The Brewhouse Malta in Birkirkara, Central Region. A total of 24 contestants received their official sashes with the names of the cities and towns they represent. One of them will succeed this year's appointed Miss Universe Malta, Maxine Formosa, who will compete at the 71st Miss Universe pageant in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA this January. The next Miss Universe Malta will be sent to the 72nd Miss Universe pageant (Miss Universe 2023) whose date and venue are yet to be announced. Miss Kyrgyzstan 2022 is Diami Almazbekova

Diami Almazbekova was crowned Miss Kyrgyzstan 2022 in a glittering national competition held on Thursday, October 13 in Bishkek. The 20-year-old professional model currently based in Moscow bested over 20 other contestants to win the coveted national title. She is now expected to represent her country at the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023). Altynai Beishenbaeva was named first runner-up while Aiperi Keneshbekova and Medina Amirova were announced the second and third runners-up, respectively. Last year's titleholder Altynai Botoyarova, who will compete in the 71st Miss Universe pageant in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA this January, passed the crown to her successor at the end of the event. The national pageant was organized by the Beauty Company Kyrgyzstan under the leadership of Ryskul Namazbekova. "La Magia de Ser Miss" (The Magic of Being Miss) premiered on Saturday, September 24 on Venevisión to learn more about the contestants vying for Miss Venezuela 2022. Hosted by the beautiful Nieves Soteldo and the charismatic Mario Bruno, the show featured the first group of contestants representing Apure, La Guaira, Mérida, Nueva Esparta, Táchira, and Yaracuy. Miss Universe Colombia 2023 official casting took place in Bogotá

The search for the next Miss Universe Colombia, who will represent her country at Miss Universe 2023, kicked off with the official casting that took place on Monday, August 8 at Casa Dann Carlton Hotel & Spa in Bogotá. With the presence of reigning Miss Universe Colombia 2022 María Fernanda Aristizábal, who will compete in Miss Universe 2022 later this year, the aspirants faced the selection committee including Miss Universe Colombia organization president Natalie Ackermann, Vae bienestar integral's Dr. Victoria Escalante, and businesswoman Loren Hatch. The organization has yet to reveal the list of official contestants who will be vying for the coveted national title as well as the official date and venue for the final competition. Miss Universe Colombia 2023 will be the third edition of the national pageant under the new national director. Miss Universe pageant to allow mothers and married women to compete

During the 48th Miss Universe pageant held in Trinidad and Tobago, the final question was "If Miss Universe were to become pregnant during her reign, should she be allowed to continue as Miss Universe?” Botswana's Mpule Kwelagobe answered: "Personally, I think Miss Universe is a symbol of a woman as well as she's celebrating her femininity, and I believe that if she should fall pregnant it will not in any way interrupt her duties. I believe as a woman she should celebrate her femininity." The then 19-year-old triumphed over Miriam Quiambao of the Philippines (first runner-up) and Diana Nogueira of Spain (second runner-up) to win the title of Miss Universe 1999, a historic first time for her country. Fast forward to today, over 20 years later, the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) has announced its decision to allow "women who are or have been married, as well as women who are pregnant or have children" to compete starting next year (Miss Universe 2023).
