Česká Miss Essens 2022 is Vanesa Švédová


Vanesa Švédová was crowned Česká Miss Essens 2022 (Miss Universe Czech Republic 2023) in a glittering final on Sunday, December 11 at the O2 Universum in Prague.

The 19-year-old model from Přerov is now expected to represent the Czech Republic at the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) pageant.

"Oh my goodness, I still can’t believe y’all really chose me. Thank you all for the votes, for the SMS, to the jury, the audience, the girls, the production for the great care and organization, to everyone who helped me in any way to achieve this," she shared online after winning her title.

Rounding out the Top 3 winners were Miss Global Czech Republic 2023 Marie Danči, 25, from Krnov, and Miss Earth Czech Republic 2023 Kristýna Pavlovičová, 20, from Strakonice. They will respectively compete in the Miss Global 2023 and Miss Earth 2023 editions in Vietnam.

This year's Česká Miss Essens introduced the reality show "Hledá se Miss" which follows contestants' journey to the competition. A total of 12 finalists were selected to take part in the final show.

Czech model Pavlína Němcová, model and former Česká Miss titleholder Andrea Bezděková, PURE Model Management Founder and CEO Roman Holárek, and ESSENS President Michal Kovar were part of the judging panel.

Finalists Sára Mikulenková and Anežka Heralecká were earlier appointed as Miss Universe Czech Republic 2022 and Miss Earth Czech Republic 2022, respectively.

Anežka managed to place in the Top 20 at the Miss Earth 2022 final in the Philippines while Sára has yet to compete at Miss Universe 2022 this January in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.

Miguel Alejandro Ortega Alaniz, representing Spain, was proclaimed the winner of Mister Global 2025 on Sunday, October 5 at MCC Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. The 26-year-old personal trainer and sports enthusiast from Valencia bested 35 other contestants to win the male beauty title. He succeeds Daumier Corilla from the Philippines. William Badell of Venezuela and Alejandro Silva of Mexico were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Fatima Bosch was crowned Miss Universe Mexico 2025 on Saturday, September 13 at Sala Placido Domingo (Conjunto Santander de Artes Escénicas) in Zapopan, Jalisco. The 22-year-old model and medical student from Moscow edged out 49 other contestants to win the national competition.
