Ghana's MALZ Promotions renounces Miss Universe license

MALZ Promotions, under the leadership of Menaye Donkor Muntari officially announced their decision to renounce their license for Miss Universe Ghana. The reason was due to "the new and sudden implementation of the Miss Universe Organization business model under the JKN Global Group's leadership" which according to them is "not aligned with MALZ Promotions' brand objectives." "MALZ Promotions regrets any inconveniences that their decision may cause to fans and enthusiasts and wishes the Miss Universe Organization the very best in their future endeavors," they said in an official statement released on Friday, February 10. Miss Universe 2022: Meet the delegates from the Dominican Republic, Ghana, Kazakhstan and Venezuela

Engracia Afua Kaley Mofuman bested 15 other finalists to be crowned Miss Universe Ghana 2022 in a national competition held on Tuesday, December 21. The 27-year-old professional model representing the Ashanti Region succeeds Naa Morkor Commodore and will represent her country at the 71st Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2022) pageant expected to be held next year. Naa Morkor Commodore has been officially crowned Miss Universe Ghana 2021 in a special ceremony held on October 13, Wednesday at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra. The 26-year-old model and gifted dancer from Prampram in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana succeeded Chelsea Tayui and will now prepare to represent her country at the 70th Miss Universe pageant in Eilat, Israel in December.
