Miss Universe Ghana 2022 is Engracia Afua Kaley Mofuman


Engracia Afua Kaley Mofuman bested 15 other finalists to be crowned Miss Universe Ghana 2022 in a national competition held on Tuesday, December 21.

The 27-year-old professional model representing the Ashanti Region succeeds Naa Morkor Commodore and will represent her country at the 71st Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2022) pageant expected to be held next year.

Miss Ahafo, Dorothy Ndede Kojo, and Miss Eastern, Magalie Ama Kabangele, were the first and second runners-up, respectively.

The new Miss Universe Ghana is no stranger to pageantry. In 2018, she held the title Miss Intercontinental Ghana and went on to compete at Miss Intercontinental 2018 pageant held in the Philippines where she placed in the Top 20.

Miss Namibia 2022 is Cassia Sharpley

Cassia Sharpley, 21, from Windhoek, bested 11 other finalists to be crowned Miss Namibia 2022 on Friday, August 12 at the Windhoek Country Club Resort and Casino. Leoné Van Jaarsveld, 26, from Swakopmund was named first runner-up while Diana Andimba, 23, from Windhoek finished as second runner-up. The new Miss Namibia is a basic life support paramedic and student at Namibia University of Science and Technology pursuing a degree in emergency medical care (advanced life support). As a poverty eradication activist, Cassia founded the Honey Comb Haven Foundation to help the less fortunate members of her community. Last year's winner, Chelsi Shikongo, relinquished her crown to her successor at the end of the competition. Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2022 is Miss Fajardo, Ashley Ann Cariño

Miss Fajardo, Ashley Ann Cariño, was crowned Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2022 in a glittering competition that took place on Thursday, August 11 at the Centro de Bellas Artes Luis A. Ferré, also known as Bellas Artes de Santurce in San Juan. The 27-year-old beauty succeeds last year's winner Michelle Colón of Loíza and will represent Puerto Rico at the 71st Miss Universe pageant (Miss Universe 2022) later this year. Leonela González De Jesús of Dorado and Camille Fabery Diana of Cataño were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. The representatives of Aguadilla,  Graciela Berrios and Toa Alta, Valeria Pagán Masini, completed the Top 5 finalists. The Miss Namibia 2022 national competition is scheduled to take place at the Windhoek Country Club Resort and Casino on Friday, August 12. A total of 12 finalists are vying for the national title currently held by Chelsi Shikongo, who represented Namibia during the 70th Miss Universe pageant in Eilat, Israel last December. Miss Universe pageant to allow mothers and married women to compete

During the 48th Miss Universe pageant held in Trinidad and Tobago, the final question was "If Miss Universe were to become pregnant during her reign, should she be allowed to continue as Miss Universe?” Botswana's Mpule Kwelagobe answered: "Personally, I think Miss Universe is a symbol of a woman as well as she's celebrating her femininity, and I believe that if she should fall pregnant it will not in any way interrupt her duties. I believe as a woman she should celebrate her femininity." The then 19-year-old triumphed over Miriam Quiambao of the Philippines (first runner-up) and Diana Nogueira of Spain (second runner-up) to win the title of Miss Universe 1999, a historic first time for her country. Tiffany Conolly was crowned Miss Universe Cayman Islands 2022 on Saturday, August 6 at The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa. The 24-year-old beauty from West Bay triumphed over seven other contestants to win the national title. Chloe Powery-Doxey and Hayley Grizzel were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Miss Universe Portugal 2022 is Telma Madeira

Telma Madeira was crowned Miss Universe Portugal 2022 during a special crowning ceremony on the "Conversa de Mulheres" TV program in Lisbon on Wednesday, July 6. The 22-year-old beauty who hails from Póvoa de Varzim is a model and former Miss Queen Portugal. She was named Miss Earth Portugal and went on to compete in Miss Earth 2018 in the Philippines where she placed in the Top 8. CNB Portugal, which is under the direction of Letícia Silva, now holds the Miss Universe national franchise in Portugal. Taking into account this year's Miss Universe schedule, as well as the annual national pageant, which has already been set, it was not possible for the organizers to hold a competition to select Miss Universe Portugal 2022. Miss Grand Venezuela 2022 is Sabrina Deraneck

Sabrina Deraneck was proclaimed Miss Grand Venezuela 2022 on Saturday, August 13 at Teatro Municipal de Caracas (Municipal Theater of Caracas). The 23-year-old teacher by profession from the state of Mérida will represent her country at Miss Grand International 2022 in Indonesia this October. Alia Abized, 19, of Nueva Esparta, and Valentina Martinez, 22, of Anzoátegui were named Miss Elite Venezuela and Miss Grand Venezuela 2023, respectively. They are expected to compete in next year's Miss Elite World and Miss Grand International editions. A total of 22 beauties participated during the first edition of Miss Grand Venezuela.
