FAVORITES: Miss Universe Philippines 2025 grand coronation night

Miss Universe Philippines 2025, the sixth edition of the annual pageant has culminated last night at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. Heavy favorite Maria Ahtisa Manalo, 27, from Candelaria, Quezon Province, bagged the crown among 66 contestants following a tough competition. She will compete in Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. The Philippines last won the Miss Universe crown in 2018 with Catriona Gray when the pageant was held in Bangkok, Thailand. This year, with another strong representation expected from the country, especially since it's being held in the same host location, the possibility of clinching the fifth crown seems quite achievable. Previous Filipina Miss Universe titleholders also include Pia Wurtzbach (2015), Margarita Moran (1973), and Gloria Diaz (1969). Maria Ahtisa Manalo of Quezon Province was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2025 on Friday, May 2 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. The 27-year-old from  Candelaria bested 65 other contestants to win the national title. She will represent the Philippines at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. No stranger to pageantry, Ahtisa is a former  Binibining Pilipinas International titleholder who went on to place first runner-up at the Miss International 2018 competition in Japan. She eventually joined Miss Universe Philippines 2024 and finished second runner-up. The national organization then awarded her the title of Miss Cosmo Philippines. In October last year, she was sent to compete in the inaugural edition of the Miss Cosmo pageant in Vietnam where she made the Top 10. Tonight, 66 of the world's most beautiful and empowered Filipinas will vie for the highly coveted title of Miss Universe Philippines 2025. The much awaited grand coronation night will take place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena (SM MOA Arena) in Pasay City from 6 p.m. local time. Live streaming is available on  Empire Philippines  official YouTube channel. Filipino actor Xian Lim and actress Gabbi Garcia will host the show with news anchor Erika Kristensen-Lee and eventologist Tim Yap. Miss Universe Philippines 2025, the 6th edition of the annual Miss Universe Philippines pageant will be held this May at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. Sixty-nine contestants representing various municipalities, cities, and provinces of the Philippines will compete for a chance to represent the country at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. The contestants were officially revealed in an official press presentation held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Makati City last month. Former Reina Hispanoamericana Teresita Marquez joins Miss Universe Philippines 2025

Former Reina Hispanoamericana titleholder Teresita Marquez is set to represent the city of Muntinlupa at the Miss Universe Philippines 2025 pageant. Popularly known as Winwyn Marquez, the Filipino actress and mother won her country's first-ever Reina Hispanoamericana winner in 2017 in Bolivia. Born in Parañaque City to actor-politician parents Joey Marquez and Alma Moreno, Winwyn first joined Binibining Pilipinas in 2015 and then Miss World Philippines in 2017 where she claimed the first Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas title. Former Miss Philippines Earth Yllana Marie Aduana will represent the municipality of Siniloan, Laguna, at the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2025 pageant. The 26-year-old medical technology graduate and environmental education advocate was previously crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2023 in Toledo, Cebu. After winning the title, Yllana represented the Philippines at Miss Earth 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, made the Top 4 among 85 contestants, and reigned as Miss Earth Air. "I am ultimately grateful for the Miss Universe Philippines and the [Miss Universe Philippines Laguna] Organization for trusting me and allowing me to represent my beloved hometown Siniloan, Laguna," she recently wrote online. The Miss Universe Organization has officially announced Chelsea Manalo of the Philippines as the Best in National Costume winner at Miss Universe 2024. Completing the Top 3 finalists for the special award were Emilia Dides from Chile (second place) and Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen from Vietnam (third place). Chelsea's national costume "Hiraya" meaning "the fruit of one's hopes, dreams, and aspirations" was voted the ultimate winner among 125 costumes showcased on this year's Miss Universe stage. Created by Filipino fashion designer Manny Halasan, the winning costume was a homage to the Philippines' diverse history and culture. It depicted the complex yet rich relationship between the Philippines and Mexico. The stunning creation was also an artistic interpretation of the introduction of both Christianity and Islam to the Philippines. The Miss Universe Philippines 2024 pageant culminated on Wednesday, May 22 at a top-of-mind venue for entertainment and sports events in the Philippines, the Mall of Asia Arena (MOA). Bulacan's Chelsea Manalo took home the coveted crown from a field of 53 contestants following the highly competitive rounds of swimsuit, evening gown, and interviews. Chelsea Manalo was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2024 during the grand coronation night on Wednesday, May 22 at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila. The 24-year-old model from Meycauayan, Bulacan bested over 50 other contestants to win the coveted national title. She will represent the Philippines at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico later this year.
