Former Miss Universe highest-paid Filipino celebrity on Instagram in 2021

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach has been named the Philippines' top Instagram earner in 2021 according to a study "Instagram Rich List 2022" by Chicago-based company NetCredit. If the estimated amount is accurate, she earned $3,669,205 making her fourth in Asia and Oceania next to international Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, South Korean singer and actress Jisoo, and South Korea-based Thai rapper, singer and dancer Lisa. Based on the published list, the former beauty queen turned model and actress has even earned higher than Australian "Thor" actor Chris Hemsworth and "Wonder Woman" actress and former Miss Israel Gal Gadot. To reveal the world’s top Instagram earners, NetCredit first built a list of the most-followed Instagram stars from every country. List in hand, figures from the Instagram rich list were used to estimate the fee-per-ad for each country’s most-followed stars. The "rivalry" between pageant fans from a few countries has lately seemed to have gotten out of control. In her latest Instagram story, Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi called out a lot of "edited photos, insults and threats" she is being flooded online. "I have seen quite a lot just today and now before going to sleep," she wrote. After the recent #UniverseUnited conversation she had with Miss Universe Indonesia 2022 Laksmi Shari De Neefe Suardana and Miss Universe Organization President Paula Shugart, Celeste was hoping this "unnecessary cyberbullying would somehow stop or lessen." A new crown was unveiled by Miss Universe Philippines Organization (MUPH) at its gala night held at Hilton Manila in Pasay City on Tuesday, April 19. The pageant organization partnered with international luxury brand Jewelmer to envision the La Mer En Majesté crown as an homage to the sea. After 3 years, Catriona Gray's wax figure was finally unveiled at Madame Tussauds wax museum at the Imbiah Lookout of Sentosa Island in Singapore on Wednesday, March 30. During the launching of the first and so far the only Filipino wax figure to be featured in the Singapore museum, the former Miss Universe looked stunning in a metal assemblage dress by Jaggy Glarino. The game is officially on for Miss Universe Philippines 2022 as the Top 50 official delegates have been announced today on the pageant's official social media page. From 50, only 30 will move on to the final competition on April 30 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila. The winner will represent the Philippines at Miss Universe 2022. Former Miss World Philippines titleholder, Michelle Dee, has confirmed her participation in the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2022 pageant.
