Valeria Baladan Liste was crowned Miss Universe Uruguay 2025 in a national competition held on Wednesday, September 10 at  Hotel Esplendor Cervantes in Montevideo. The 24-year-old model and student representing Montevideo succeeds last year's winner Yanina Lucas. She will now prepare to represent Uruguay at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Carolina Moreira of Cerro Largo and Perla Barrera of Maldonado were announced the first and second runners-up, respectively. The new Miss Universe Uruguay is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in communication, advertising and marketing. Yanina Lucas was crowned Miss Universe Uruguay 2024 on Saturday, August 31 at Estadio Cerrado 8 De Junio in the city of  Paysandú. The 28-year-old computer science graduate from Lavalleja will represent Uruguay at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico this November. Lucía Piñeyro Lima of Río Negro and Macarena Gómez of Artigas were announced as the first and second runners-up, respectively. Miss Mundo Uruguay 2022 Top 8 finalist Carla Romero has been officially revealed as Miss Universe Uruguay 2022. She succeeds Miss Universe Uruguay 2020, Lola de los Santos. The 24-year-old business administration graduate and an image consultant from Montevideo will represent her country at the 71st Miss Universe pageant in New Orleans, Louisiana this January.
