Miss Timpanogos, Alyssa Chandler, was crowned Miss Utah USA 2024 on Saturday, July 6 at Jeanné Wagner Theatre of the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center in Salt Lake City. She succeeds Mariluz Cook, last year's first runner-up who took over the state title after Noelia Voigt was crowned Miss USA last September in Reno, Nevada. Alyssa beat 19 other contestants to become the 73rd Miss Utah USA and will now prepare to represent the "Beehive State" at Miss USA 2024 in Los Angeles, California this August. Noelia Voigt steps down as Miss USA 2023

Miss USA 2023 Noelia Voigt officially announced her shocking resignation as titleholder in a post on social media on Monday, May 6. "I realize this may come as a large shock to many. Never compromise your physical and mental well-being. Our health is our wealth," she wrote. "A million thank you's to all of you for your constant and unwavering support. Time to write the next chapter. I hope you’ll stick around to see what's next," she added. The Miss USA organization also released a statement on social media: "We respect and support Noelia’s decision to step down from her duties. The well-being of our titleholders is a top priority, and we understand her need to prioritize herself at this time." As for Noelia's replacement, the organization said, "We are currently reviewing plans for transferring responsibilities to a successor, and we will soon announce the crowning of the new Miss USA." The coveted national title went to 23-year-old Miss Utah USA, Noelia Voigt, who will now represent the USA at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador. Here are the things to know about the new Miss USA: 1. Noelia was born in Florida to a Venezuelan mother and an american father. She is the first titleholder of Venezuelan-American descent to be crowned Miss USA. 2. Noelia Voigt bested 19 other competitors to win Miss Utah USA 2023 on Saturday, July 8 at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center (Jeanne Wagner Theater) in Salt Lake City. The 23-year-old Venezuelan-American interior designer and author representing Park City will now prepare to represent Utah at Miss USA 2023 in Reno, Nevada this fall. Her runners-up were Mariluz Cook of Salt Lake (first), Hannah Wagner of Greater Salt Lake (second), Kit Widmyer of Nothern Utah (third), Kennedi Sanders of Iron County (fourth), and Collin Vijenandan of South Jordan (fifth). Madison Jonely has been officially announced as the new Miss Utah USA 2022, replacing Elisabeth Bradley-Gandara who is unable to fulfill her duties The 25-year-old aspiring crime scene investigator from Salt Lake City is a graduate of Weber State University with a degree in criminal justice. She advocates for domestic violence victims and works with One Love Foundation whose mission is to make healthy relationships possible for everyone. Maddie represented Topaz State during last year's pageant at the Capitol Theatre in Salt Lake City where she placed as first runner-up.
