Miss World Cayman Islands 2022 is Leanni Tibbetts

Leanni Tibbetts of George Town was crowned Miss World Cayman Islands 2022 on Saturday, September 24 at Harquail Theatre. The 25-year-old aviation management graduate is a pilot and sub-lieutenant at the Cayman Islands Cadet Corps. Apart from winning her national title, she was also awarded Miss Photogenic, Best in Sports, Best in Island Couture, and Best in Interview. Melissa Bridgemohan and Latoya Jackson were announced as the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Deverlee Ramos Bodden and Angelique Copeland were the rest of the finalists. The new Miss World Cayman Islands is also an environmental conservation advocate who lives by the saying "Be the change" and she intends to use her platform to empower women, especially those in abusive situations, and to highlight environmental initiatives. Miss Venezuela 2022: 'La Magia de Ser Miss' kicks off with first group of contestants

"La Magia de Ser Miss" (The Magic of Being Miss) premiered on Saturday, September 24 on Venevisión to learn more about the contestants vying for Miss Venezuela 2022. Hosted by the beautiful Nieves Soteldo and the charismatic Mario Bruno, the show featured the first group of contestants representing Apure, La Guaira, Mérida, Nueva Esparta, Táchira, and Yaracuy. Miss Apure, Luisana Siso - 26, social communicator by profession and enjoys dancing, drawing, and exercising. Miss La Guaira, Andrea Romero - 25, a model and holds a degree in international studies. Her hobbies include drawing mandalas, exercising, going to the beach, and traveling. Two trailblazing and highly accomplished Indian women met each other on Saturday, September 24 during the Global Citizen Festival in New York City's Central Park. The Global Citizen, a non-profit organization dedicated to driving change and making an impact, celebrated its 10th year anniversary with former Miss World Priyanka Chopra as host. Nick Jonas' wife also just recently attended as a speaker at the United Nations General Assembly, also in NYC, where she talked mainly about its top agenda this year which is the Sustainable Development Goals. Kana Yamaguchi bested 30 other finalists (including her sister) to be crowned Miss World Japan 2022 on Thursday, September 22 at the Hulic Hall Tokyo. The 24-year-old licensed teacher, model, and TV host from Toyama Prefecture succeeds last year's winner Tamaki Hoshi and will now prepare to represent Japan at the 71st Miss World pageant. Years prior to winning her national title, the new Miss World Japan has never imagined standing in front of an audience. "I would be happy if my challenge could be someone's courage, strength, and hope. Thank you for giving me the chance to stand here again, and next time I will spread my wings to the world," she said in her bio for the competition. After attending the Miss Indonesia 2022 final, the reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska returned to Vietnam for the first ever Beauty With A Purpose Charity Gala in the country. The special event was organized by Miss World Vietnam on Friday, September 16 at the La Vela Saigon Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. Memorabilia from the national pageant were auctioned including the crown of the reigning Miss World Vietnam Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong. According to Miss World, the event was a huge success with over 7 billion VND collected from donors and benefactors. The total amount raised will benefit the Miss World projects in Vietnam and overseas. Faith Torres was crowned Miss Gibraltar 2022 during the national competition held on Saturday, September 17 at the Alameda Open Air Theatre Gibraltar. The 21-year-old biomedical science graduate bested 11 other finalists to win the title. She also bagged the People's Choice and Miss Elegance awards. Michelle Lopez Desoisa and Jaylyn Cruz were named the first and second princesses, respectively. At the end of the show, last year's titleholder Janice Sampere crowned her successor who will now prepare to represent Gibraltar at the 71st Miss World pageant. Miss Sulawesi Utara, Audrey Vanessa Susilo was crowned Miss Indonesia 2022 on Thursday, September 15 at Studio RCTI+ in Jakarta. The 22-year-old Monash University student representing the North Sulawesi province bested 36 other contestants to win her national title. She was also announced as the winner of the Talent and Social Media fast track. Completing the Top 5 finalists were first runner-up Ida Ayu Laksmi of Bali, second runner-up Alyssandra Winyoto of Jawa Timur, third runner-up Angelina Aqila of Kalimantan Barat, and fourth runner-up Naomy Angelica Sembiring of Riau. The official finalists were selected out of more than 100 aspirants that were invited to the pre-qualification round that took place yesterday.
