Miss World Cayman Islands 2022 is Leanni Tibbetts


Leanni Tibbetts of George Town was crowned Miss World Cayman Islands 2022 on Saturday, September 24 at Harquail Theatre.

The 25-year-old aviation management graduate is a pilot and sub-lieutenant at the Cayman Islands Cadet Corps. Apart from winning her national title, she was also awarded Miss Photogenic, Best in Sports, Best in Island Couture, and Best in Interview.

Melissa Bridgemohan and Latoya Jackson were announced as the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Deverlee Ramos Bodden and Angelique Copeland were the rest of the finalists.

The new Miss World Cayman Islands is also an environmental conservation advocate who lives by the saying "Be the change" and she intends to use her platform to empower women, especially those in abusive situations, and to highlight environmental initiatives.

Leanni succeeded last year's titleholder Rashana Hydes and will now prepare to represent the Cayman Islands at the 71st Miss World pageant.
