Miss for America Strong 2023 is Candy Cáceres of California

California's Candy Cáceres was crowned Miss for America Strong 2023 on Friday, August 24 at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Emmy-nominated journalist and bilingual weather anchor hailing from the Dominican Republic bested more than 40 other contestants to win the national competition for the most accomplished and single women of America. Jessica Wallace of Kentucky was named first runner-up while Jonét Nichelle of Rhode Island was announced as the second runner-up. The representatives from Idaho, Katarina Schweitzer, Oklahoma, Chesney Ann Monroe, and New York, Victoria Treadwell rounded out the Top 6. Hawaii, Illinois, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Washington, Wisconsin, and Utah were the rest of the Top 15 semifinalists. Miss West Virginia, Chelsi Rose, was crowned Miss for America Strong 2022 on Thursday, August 18 at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino in Nevada. The runners-up were Chantelle Pressley of Kentucky and Kelly Breuer of New York. Last year's titleholder Dr. Rachel Fenters crowned her successor at the end of the event. "It's been an incredible nine months as Miss for America," she wrote on social media. The new Miss for Strong America is a 27-year-old communications graduate from Parkersburg. She is presently working as a marketing executive at FST Image Solutions and an executive producer for Crowning Rose Productions. Chelsi was named Miss West Virginia United States in 2018 and went on to compete in the Miss United States pageant. She is an advocate for inclusive education and is interested in hunting and conservation. "How is this even real life y’all," she wrote in a statement on social media while still in disbelief after winning her title. "It’s
