Miss for America Strong 2023 is Candy Cáceres of California


California's Candy Cáceres was crowned Miss for America Strong 2023 on Friday, August 24 at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Emmy-nominated journalist and bilingual weather anchor hailing from the Dominican Republic bested more than 40 other contestants to win the national competition for the most accomplished and single women of America.

Jessica Wallace of Kentucky was named first runner-up while Jonét Nichelle of Rhode Island was announced as the second runner-up. The representatives from Idaho, Katarina Schweitzer, Oklahoma, Chesney Ann Monroe, and New York, Victoria Treadwell rounded out the Top 6.

Hawaii, Illinois, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Washington, Wisconsin, and Utah were the rest of the Top 15 semifinalists.

Last year's winner Chelsi Rose from West Virginia crowned her successor at the end of the event.

Before winning her national title, the new Miss for America Strong was proclaimed Miss California for America twice. She first represented the Golden State at the national pageant in 2021 and finished in the Top 6.
