Austin Cabatana, representing Quezon City, was proclaimed Mister International Philippines 2023 in a national competition held on Wednesday, June 28 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City. The 24-year-old model and business management graduate of De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde bested over 50 other competitors from across the country to win the national title. He succeeds MJ Ordillano and will now prepare to participate in the Mister International 2023 pageant in the Philippines this September. Erik Lennart Visser of the Philippines won the Mr. Universe Tourism 2023 pageant on Sunday, March 19 at Bali Nusa Dua Theatre in Bali, Indonesia. The 24-year-old Filipino-Dutch model and psychology graduate of the Silliman University in Dumaguete City received the crown and sash from his predecessor Surasak "Tor" Muangkeaw of Thailand. Spain's Francisco Jose Merida Moyano and Vietnam's Huynh Vo Hoang Son were announced as first and second runners-up, respectively. No stranger to pageantry, the new Mr. Universe Tourism previously won the title Ginoong Pilipinas 2019 (Mister Philippines) and became a finalist at Century Tuna Superbods 2022. This year's competition marked the 4th edition of the international male pageant which was held following a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic. A 25-year-old model and Century Tuna Superbods 2022 winner Kirk Bondad will represent the Philippines at the 11th Mr World pageant. The Filipino-German was officially announced as Mr World Philippines 2022 during the Miss World Philippines 2022 final competition held in June. Kirk is the brother of Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray's ex-boyfriend, the model and actor Clint Bondad. He is also in a relationship right now with Filipino-Australian Kathleen Paton, the reigning Miss Eco International. Earlier this month, he announced teaming up with The CAMP for his training in preparation for the international pageant and hopefully bringing the first Mr World title to the Philippines. "Let’s raise the standard together and make history," he wrote in a statement on social media. The Miss World Organization has yet to announce the final date and venue of the next Mr World edition. Parañaque City representative Myron Jude Ordillano was named Mister International Philippines 2022 at the grand ballroom of Okada Manila on Monday, June 27. The 23-year-old model and aspiring actor edged out over 30 other contestants to win his title. He succeeds the 2019 winner Levin Carl Arguelles. Mark Avendaño of Biñan, Laguna, Michael Ver Anton Comaling of Leyte Province, Kitt Cortez of San Juan City, and Andre John Cue of Cagayan de Oro City were the first, second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. The new Mister International Philippines is expected to represent his country in the next edition of the Mister International pageant this October, while the first and second runners-up will respectively compete in Mister Global and Mister National Universe.
