The new Mister and Miss Supranational Cuba titleholders were officially announced last Sunday, May 28 at Cuz Miami in Doral, Florida. Former Miss Intercontinental USA and Miss Intercontinental 2019 first runner-up, Monica Aguilar, was appointed as Miss Supranational Cuba 2023. The 24-year-old biology student from Camagüey succeeds Liz Rodriguez and will represent Cuba at Miss Supranational 2023 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Poland on July 14. Richard Acosta, a 27-year-old banker and personal trainer from Havana was named Mister Supranational Cuba 2023 and will compete in Mister Supranational 2023 at the same venue in Małopolska on July 15. Jalisco's Luis Carlos Garcia Cuadra was named Mister Supranational Mexico 2023 on Saturday, May 27 at Teatro Clavijero in Veracruz. The 30-year-old model, dentist, and sports enthusiast succeeded last year's titleholder and Mister Supranational 2022 third runner-up, Moises Peñaloza. Jonathan Hurtado of Coahuila and Mauricio Cuevas Arouesty of Yucatan were the runners-up while Brian Avelar of Chiapas and Felipe Lopez of Nuevo Leon rounded out the Top 5 finalists. Mister and Miss Supranational United States 2023 national final will be held this Sunday, May 21 at The East Angel in Los Angeles, California. The event will be hosted by reigning Miss California USA Tiffany Johnson while Miss Earth Air 2021 Marisa Paige Butler will be a special guest judge. Besides reigning titleholders Sofia Acosta and Keith Williams, Manhunt USA Elijah Van Zanten, who placed second runner-up at Manhunt International Male Supermodel 2022, is also expected to grace the event. This year’s Supranational United States pageant features over 30 competitors from across the country who are vying for the chance to compete for the Mister and Miss Supranational 2023 titles in Poland this July. Jan Carrasco was proclaimed Mister Supranational Dominican Republic 2023 on Saturday, April 22 at the Auditorio Patrick N. Hughson in Santo Domingo. The 29-year-old actor and photographer representing Santiago bested 14 other competitors to win the national competition. He succeeded Lewis Echavarria and will now prepare for Mister Supranational 2023 to be held in Poland this July. The 30-year-old data scientist from Pretoria bested nine other finalists to win the title. He will now represent South Africa at Mister Supranational 2023 in Poland this July. Beauty pageant enthusiast and content creator Luis Portelles was officially announced on Saturday, April 16 as Mister Supranational Canada 2023. The 28-year-old well-known YouTuber based in Montreal, Quebec hails from Holguin, Cuba, and is a graduate of the Université de Montréal with a degree in communication sciences. "After years of being a devoted pageant fan and watching from the sidelines, I am grateful for the chance to finally take the stage and showcase my beautiful country," he wrote in a statement on social media. "It is an incredible honor to wear the Canada sash and represent a country that has given me so much. I am excited to bring my best to the competition," he added. Luca Derin was officially announced as Mister Supranational Netherlands 2023 on Sunday, April 9 at Addict (beauty salon) in Haarlem, Amsterdam. The 26-year-old former "Love Island" contestant from Sittard, Limburg, succeeded last year's titleholder Fransel Meyers and will now represent the Netherlands at Mister Supranational 2023 in Poland this July. Mister São Paulo, Henrique Martins, was proclaimed Mister Brasil CNB 2023 (Mister Supranational Brasil 2023) on Saturday, April 8 in the city of Tramandaí, Rio Grande do Sul. The 31-year-old publicist and former Olympic swimmer from Campinas, São Paulo bested 40 other contestants to win the national pageant.
