Miss Piura, Nancy Salazar, was crowned Miss Earth Peru 2022 in a competition held on Sunday, August 14 at DataVision studio in Lima. The 23-year-old business administration graduate succeeds last year's titleholder Briggitte Corrales and will represent her country at Miss Earth 2022 in the Philippines this November. Miss Lima Sur, Maria Pia Huaranca, was named Miss Earth Peru Aire while the representatives of Lambayeque, Shantal Vega, and La Libertad, Pierina Azañedo completed the Top 4 and clinched the titles Miss Earth Peru Fuego and Miss Earth Peru Agua, respectively. A total of seven finalists participated in this year's Miss Earth Peru edition. Peru, a country in South America, has yet to win the Miss Earth pageant. Alessia Rovegno was crowned Miss Peru 2022 (Miss Universe Peru) in a glittering competition that was held on Tuesday, June 14 in Lima. The 24-year-old model, singer and influencer, who also received the Miss Photogenic award, is the daughter of actress Bárbara Cayo and the current partner of athlete Hugo García. Tatiana Calmell and Tatiana Calmell were named Miss Peru International 2022 and Miss Peru Latina Universal 2022, respectively. The new Miss Universe Peru succeeds last year's titleholder Yely Rivera and will represent her country at the Miss Universe 2022 pageant later this year. "Infinitely grateful to all the people who support me and send me messages of love and motivation," she wrote on social media after winning her title. Meet the official delegates of the Miss Earth 2021 virtual competition from Bulgaria, Indonesia, Northern Marianas, and Peru: Miss Earth Bulgaria 2021 is 28-year-old Yuliia Pavlikova. She holds a doctorate degree in economics and is a member of the Fund for the Protection of Animals. Monica Francisca Khonado was appointed as Miss Earth Indonesia 2021. She is a host and moderator and founded the sustainability project Voice of Nature Indonesia. Crystal Fiona Rio was named Miss Earth Northern Marianas 2021 in a national competition held at the Hyatt Regency Saipan on September 18. Mister Supranational Peru, Varo Vargas, was named Mister Supranational 2021 on Sunday, August 22 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Małopolska, Poland. The 31-year-old model and singer from Lima succeeds Nate Crnkovich of the United States of America. He bested 22 other contestants to win the 5th edition of the international male pageant. Abdel Kacem Tefridj of Togo was the first runner-up and William Badell of Venezuela was the second runner-up. Nepal's Santosh Upadhyaya and Spain's Lucas Muñoz-Alonso were the third and fourth runners-up, respectively. Solange Hermoza Rivera was officially named Miss Supranational Peru 2021 last Thursday, May 27. The 26-year-old actress from La Libertad holds a bachelor's degree in business engineering. She was first runner-up during Miss Peru 2020 national competition. Also announced by Miss Peru Organization on its official social media platforms was Mister Supranational Peru 2021 Varo Vargas. Solange and Varo will represent Peru at the Miss Supranational and Mister Supranational 2021 competitions, respectively, in Poland this August.
