Reigning Miss Taiwan, Oceana Ling-Kurie, has been officially appointed as Miss International Taiwan 2024. She succeeds Anita Wang, last year's titleholder. The 23-year-old actress and model, who was crowned Miss Taiwan 2023 in Taipei last December, will now represent her country at Miss International 2024. Oceana is currently a graduate student at the National Taiwan Normal University's Graduate Institute of Performing Arts. According to Miss International, she is also an educator and a business consultant. In a post on social media, she expressed her excitement to participate on the international stage. Taiwanese volleyball player, Chien Yu Chen, was proclaimed Mister Universe Tourism 2024 on Sunday, March 24 in Bali, Indonesia. The representative of the Philippines, Larz Kent Dawson was named first runner-up while ChitrakananSingh Thoudam from India finished as second runner-up. This year's competition was the 5th edition of Mister Universe Tourism, an annual male pageant dedicated to promoting responsible tourism through digital marketing in the new normal. Last year's winner,  Erik Lennart Visser from the Philippines crowned his successor at the end of the event.
