UPDATES: Miss Grand International 2021 contestants arrive in Bangkok, national costume competition, standouts

Miss Grand International 2021 contestants are now back in Bangkok after a series of pre-pageant and preliminary events in Phuket, Thailand. Best in Swimsuit (Fan Vote) : Vietnam has won the most votes from fans for Best in Swimsuit followed by Cambodia and Indonesia while Guatemala and the Philippines completed the Top 5. National Costume Competition : The national costume competition was held on Tuesday, November 30 at the show DC Retail and Entertainment Mega Complex in Bangkok. Colorful and extravagant costumes that best represent their countries were showcased by the contestants during the show. Standouts : Notable costumes were from Argentina, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, Honduras, Malaysia, Nigeria, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Spain, and Thailand. Thailand's Anchilee Scott-Kemmis departs for 70th Miss Universe in Israel

Miss Universe Thailand 2021 Anchilee Scott-Kemmis departed for Israel on Tuesday, November 23 to compete in the 70th Miss Universe pageant. The 22-year-old beauty who majored in sociology at the University of Sydney was wearing a blue jumpsuit by Thai fashion designer, Narong Ketkaew, during her departure.  Many fans and members of the press flocked to the Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok. Former Miss Universe Thailand and Miss Universe Top 10 finalist, Amanda Obdam, was also present to show her support. Anchilee will compete with over 70 other contestants from around the world to try to win her country's third Miss Universe crown on December 12 in the southern Israeli port and resort town of Eilat. Miss Grand International 2021 begins, contestants arrive in Phuket

Over 60 representatives from around the world are expected to arrive in Phuket, Thailand to compete for the Miss Grand International 2021 title. The Top 5 most voted contestants before arrival will have a special meal with the MGI executives. To vote, go to the official Facebook page of Miss Grand International, look for the album "VOTE for Top5 Before Arrival - MGI2021" then click like and share the photo of your favorite contestant. Voting ends on November 16 at 6:00 p.m. (Thailand time), just go to the official Facebook page of Miss Grand International. The final show of the 9th Miss Grand International will be held on December 4 in Bangkok. Abena Appiah of the United States will crown her successor at the end of the event. Miss Universe Thailand 2021 is Anchilee Scott-Kemmis

Anchilee Scott-Kemmis bested 29 other contestants to be crowned Miss Universe Thailand 2021 in a glittering national competition held on Sunday, October 24 at the NICE Pattaya, Convention and Exhibition Center. The 22-year-old Thai-Australian model and social researcher holds a bachelor's degree in sociology. She succeeds last year's winner and Miss Universe Top 10 finalist, Amanda Obdam. Tharina Botes and Nanthiya Suwansawaeng were named first and second runners-up, respectively, while Kasama Suetrong and Pimnara Vonzurmuehlen completed the Top 5 finalists. The new Miss Universe Thailand will now prepare to represent her country at the 70th Miss Universe pageant to be held in Eilat, Israel this December. Indy Johnson was officially named as the newly appointed Miss Grand Thailand 2021 during a press conference held on Wednesday, October 6 at PM Center in Bangkok. The 24-year-old beauty from Bangkok represented Pathum Thani and placed as the first runner-up during Miss Grand Thailand 2020 competition won by her predecessor, Patcharaporn “Nam” Chantarapadit. Miss Grand International 2021 press conference, schedule of events announced

The press conference for Miss Grand International 2021 was held at the PM Center in Bangkok, Thailand on Wednesday, October 6. MGI President Nawat Itsaragrisil officially revealed the series of activities and schedules for the competition that will take place in Phuket, Phi Phi Islands, and Bangkok. The international pageant's 9th edition will be held on December 4 at the SHOW DC Hall. Miss Earth Thailand 2021 is Baitong Jareerat Petsom

Pageant veteran Baitong Jareerat Petsom was named Miss Earth Thailand 2021 in national competition held in Bangkok on Saturday, September 25. The 28-year-old architecture graduate from the southern Thai province of Chumphon is an environmental ambassador for the Green World Foundation and an advocate for sustainable ocean. She founded Baanbaan to promote a green lifestyle. Baitong will represent her country at the Miss Earth 2021 competition to be held virtually later this year. Miss Earth Thailand competition was held for the first time after an eight-year hiatus. The national organization is currently headed by Dr. Sirikan Onsonkarn of the Siri Hotel Group. Thailand has yet to win the Miss Earth crown. Its highest placements were in 2010 and 2013 with Watsaporn Wattanakoon and Punika Kulsoontornrut who both placed in the Top 4 and bagged the Miss Earth Water title. Miss Earth Thailand 2021 audition round Top 20 announced

Miss Earth Thailand 2021 held an audition round last July 8 in Bangkok where over 40 aspirants went through a nerve-wracking question and answer in front of a distinguished panel of judges. Only the lucky 20 beauties made it as official Top 20 contestants. Voting is open and the contestant who receives the highest number of votes will automatically advance to the final Top 15. To vote, type MET followed by the number of your favorite contestant and send to 4141555 for 1 point (standard vote), or send to 4141111 for 3 points (big vote). Miss and Mister Supranational Thailand 2021 revealed

Thailand's representatives for the Miss and Mister Supranational 2021 have been officially announced. A 26-year-old public relations and image management graduate of Bangkok University, Benjarat Akkarawanichsil Aebi, was named Miss Supranational Thailand 2021. She succeeds Anntonia Porsild, who is currently the reigning Miss Supranational. The Mister Supranational Thailand 2021 title was designated to Nipun Kaewruan. He is a 19-year-old athlete and aerospace engineering student at Kasetsart University. Miss Earth Thailand 2021 holds press conference, final to be held in August

Miss Earth Thailand organization headed by Dr. Sirikan Onsonkarn of Siri Hotel Group held a press conference in Bangkok on Tuesday, June 8 to kick off Miss Earth Thailand 2021. The upcoming competition is going to be the first-ever national pageant for Miss Earth in Thailand under the new franchise holder. Applications are now open until June 30 and the announcement of the 30 finalists will be on July 10. The final competition will air live on PPTV this August 8 from the SHOW DC Hall in Bangkok. At the end of the event, two-time Miss Earth delegate and Top 20 semi-finalist Teeyapar "Nampetch" Sretsirisuvarna will crown her successor who will represent Thailand at the Miss Earth 2021 international pageant later this year.
