UPDATES: Miss Grand International 2021 contestants arrive in Bangkok, national costume competition, standouts


Miss Grand International 2021 contestants are now back in Bangkok after a series of pre-pageant and preliminary events in Phuket, Thailand.

Best in Swimsuit (Fan Vote): Vietnam has won the most votes from fans for Best in Swimsuit followed by Cambodia and Indonesia while Guatemala and the Philippines completed the Top 5.

National Costume Competition: The national costume competition was held on Tuesday, November 30 at the show DC Retail and Entertainment Mega Complex in Bangkok. Colorful and extravagant costumes that best represent their countries were showcased by the contestants during the show.

Standouts: Notable costumes were from Argentina, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, Honduras, Malaysia, Nigeria, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Spain, and Thailand.


Vote Top 20 Best National Costume: Voting is now open for Best in National Costume through the official Facebook and Instagram of MGI until December 2 (Thailand time). The Top 20 will be decided based on the 10 most voted costumes and the remaining 10 will come from the judges.

Miss Popular Vote: The current Top 5 voted contestants through Star Phone Application as of December 1st 11 a.m. (Thailand Time) are Cambodia, South Africa, Egypt, Vietnam, and Malaysia. Miss Popular Vote winner will automatically earn a spot in the final Top 10 on December 4.
